Daniels - I might keep the kids up to watch tonight!

Charlie Daniels may be delaying bedtime for his kids tonight as he settles down to watch the latest Cherries Repicked with his family.

The left-back scored a late fourth on a famous night at Vitality Stadium to complete a 4-0 win over Chelsea in January 2019.

The match will be shown in its entirety in the latest Cherries Repicked on Wednesday night, the premiere starting on YouTube at 7.30pm, for which you can set a reminder now.

Ahead of the Wednesday evening's Cherries Repicked, Daniels spoke to afcb.co.uk about his plans to settle down and watch with his loved ones.

"I'm looking forward to watching the last couple of minutes especially!" He said. "I will be watching it, one of our biggest wins against one of the big clubs.

"The kids might be in bed, but I might keep them up for a little bit, they'll definitely be shown the highlights anyway. It's a game that should be watched over and over again."

A Joshua King brace and David Brooks' well-taken strike had set Bournemouth on the path to victory last January ahead of Daniels' late fourth, with the defender talking further about the performance and why his goal meant so much to him, having been through some difficult personal circumstances.

"We put in a really dominant performance against a good Chelsea side," he explained. "I came off the bench and actually played left wing.

"Jordon Ibe took a short free-kick and I'd got myself in the box, he whipped one in, I flicked it and it looped over the goalkeeper to make it 4-0.

"It was a special goal for a lot of reasons, with what I was going through off the pitch with my dad passing away a month or so before.

"I didn't play a lot of football before or just after that, it was tough time, going up to the hospital on the outskirts of London most days, seeing him as much as I could.

"That was a tough part of my season and then to come off the bench and score really brought back a lot of good feelings, I'm sure he was watching."
