AFC Bournemouth have installed new elevated viewing positions for wheelchair users over the summer for wheelchair users attending Vitality Stadium for the new 2017/18 season.

To work towards the Accessible Stadia Guide, the club have introduced 21 wheelchair positions and 21 personal assistant seats located outside of the Top Floor Restaurant in the CoreTX Main Stand.

Four wheelchair positions and four personal assistant seats have also been added, which are located in Block 16 of the Vitality East Stand.

In addition to those new positions, 10 wheelchair positions and 10 personal assistant seats will also be available on the elevated platform in Block 20 of the Vitality East Stand, which has increased since the 2016/17 season.

The club can confirm that the new seats open for the first time for the Valencia pre-season friendly on Sunday 30th July.

Spaces for all the platforms will be allocated on a match by match basis, and the club would like to encourage all wheelchair users - both season ticket holders and supporters purchasing match by match – to utilise the new positions at Vitality Stadium.

To request a space on one of the elevated platforms, supporters should contact Alice Jeans, by e-mailing [email protected], or calling 01202 726311.
Requests must be received no later than three working days prior to the home fixture, for example; by a Wednesday prior to a Saturday match, and a Thursday for a Tuesday match. Spaces will be allocated the following day, and successful applicants will be contacted then.

A refreshment delivery service from the concourse will be available for all users of each of the elevated platforms from the concourses and both cash and card will be accepted methods of payment.

Supporters should be aware that the elevated platform in block 16 of the east stand, is accessible by an external platform lift. This lift can transfer up to a maximum weight of 300kg, therefore we would recommend these spaces for users of a manual wheelchair given the weight restriction and size of the lift.
