Cherries duo Chris Mepham and David Brooks both started for Wales in their final friendly ahead of this summer’s Euros.

Robert Page’s side drew 0-0 with Albania in Cardiff as 6,500 members of the ‘Red Wall’ made a return to watch their team play.

Neco Williams went closest to winning the game for the hosts, forcing a good save out of Albania goalkeeper, Gentian Selmani, while the side got through the 90 minutes without any fresh injury concerns.

The draw comes after Wales lost 3-0 to France earlier in the week, with a red card for Williams meaning his side had to play over half a game against the world champions with ten men.

They’ll now look to hit the ground running with an opening Euro group game against Switzerland on Saturday.

Elsewhere, Gavin Kilkenny played the last seven minutes for Ireland under-21s, as they were defeated 1-0 in a friendly against Denmark.
