Winning his 23rd cap in Torshavn, Christie was bright down the left during the World Cup qualifier, though it looked for much of the evening as though it would be a frustrating evening for the side, who were looking to stay on track in their bid to make it to Qatar.
However, Lyndon Dykes popped up in the 86th minute to divert home a cross from the right, securing a result that means Scotland just need a win against Moldova in their next game to confirm second place in the group and a favourable play-off berth.
Christie - who played 83 minutes - won't be involved in that vital match with the Moldovans though, as a booking picked up in the Faroe Islands now sees him suspended.
