Christie's Scotland bag last-minute winner

Ryan Christie came on as a 66th minute substitute, as his Scotland side bagged a late winner against Israel at Hampden.

Scott McTominay struck for his first international goal in the 94th minute to secure a valuable three points for Steve Clarke's side.

The hosts had fallen behind after five minutes when Eran Zahavi's free-kick flew into the top corner, before John McGinn struck level in Glasgow.

A Munas Dabbur finish put Israel back into the lead ahead of half-time, leaving Scotland with plenty of work to do in the second-half.

Ten minutes in and Lyndon Dykes made up for a missed penalty, by volleying home to ensure Scotland were back on level terms.

Their persistence finally paid off right at the death as McTominay fired home to spark wild celebrations.

The win leaves Scotland four points clear of Israel in second place, as they look to secure that World Cup Qualifier spot.

Elsewhere, Jordan Zemura was in action for Zimbabwe, as they were defeated 3-1 by Ghana in their latest World Cup Qualifier.

The left-back played 74 minutes and went close as a first-half effort hit the post, but it wasn't to be for the Warriors.

Finally, Mark Travers was on the bench as the Republic of Ireland won 3-0 in Azerbaijan.

A double from Callum Robinson, as well as a strike from Chiedozie Ogbene ensured Stephen Kenny's side picked up all three points.

They currently sit fourth in their World Cup Qualifying group.
