AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

After concluding a record-breaking season here at Vitality Stadium, the club is already looking forward to the 2024/25 campaign and the celebration of our 125th anniversary.

Over the last few months, an Honorary Anniversary Working Group has been formed.

The group is made up of people from within the club that have a long-standing and extensive history with AFC Bournemouth.

It will liaise with our Fan Advisory Board, drive plans and be at the heart of ensuring the anniversary celebration is an occasion worthy of the club’s history.

The members of the Honorary Anniversary Working Group are:

Tommy Elphick

Currently part of Andoni Iraola’s coaching staff and former captain, Tommy played 142 matches for the club whilst leading the Cherries to the Premier League for the first time in the 2014/15 season.

Neil Perrett

Following a huge 28 years covering AFC Bournemouth for the Daily Echo, Neil has spent five years as an employee of the club, providing media coverage across our men’s and women’s first teams, as well as academy sides.

Matt Payne

A season ticket holder since 1994, Matt has given 10 years of service to the Cherries and is currently responsible for the creative and marketing output of the club in his role as Vice President, Brand and Marketing.

Rob Mitchell

Rob has just completed his 16th season at the club, joining in 2008 witnessing the journey from League Two to the Premier League where he now leads a global sales and partnerships operation as Commercial Director.

Mark Luther

Having attended matches for over 40 years now, Mark has been a key member of the accounts department since 2006, also seeing our journey from the bottom to the top of the English pyramid.

Jazmine Spurling

Jazz is approaching her 12th season in our ticketing team, and it will be her third as the Ticket Office Manager.

Nick Osborn

Another key figure in our ticketing team, Nick attended his first match 20 years ago in September 2004 and has worked for the club for 10 years.

Rich Cooper

With two years’ experience as our Data and Insights Manager, Rich has supported the club since 2000.

Tom Webber

With an unrivalled collection of Cherries classic kits, Tom is a First-Team Analyst and has spent eight years at the club.

Hannah Powis

Hannah has been Head of EDI and Engagement with the club for nearly three years having spent five years with our Community Sports Trust. Her family are lifelong Cherries supporters, with Hannah attending matches since the ‘90s, including our famous trip to Wembley in 1998.

To honour the occasion, we will be dedicating our first home Premier League game of the 2024/25 season to the celebration of our 125th anniversary with a themed matchday as well as revisiting historic moments and figures from our history in the days and weeks leading up to, and following, that dedicated match.

The club would like to thank our senior leaders, the Fan Advisory Board and the working group on their commitment and efforts in making this celebration happen.

Over the course of the summer, further plans for the anniversary will be announced and supporters will be engaged with to hear their stories and make the anniversary a memorable and fitting tribute.
