Carl Fletcher departs for Leyton Orient

AFC Bournemouth Loan Player Manager Carl Fletcher has departed the club to join Leyton Orient as head coach.

After managing at Plymouth, Fletcher began his Cherries coaching career in 2014, taking charge of the club’s under-18s side.

He was then promoted to under-21s manager before taking the loan player manager role earlier this season.

Poole-born Fletcher also had a memorable playing career with the Cherries, scoring twice and captaining the side in the unforgettable play-off final win against Lincoln in 2003, as well as making 224 appearances for his boyhood club before moving on to play Premier League football with West Ham United.

The 38-year-old will join up with the O’s with immediate effect and the club would like to thank Carl for his hard work for the football club.
