AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

Cherries midfielder David Brooks has been nominated for the Player of the Month award in the Sky Bet Championship for November.

Having looked back to his best for the Cherries during November, Brooks has been shortlisted among the standout four players in the division.

Brooks is joined by Adam Armstrong, Carel Eiting and Grant Hanley in contention for the prize, with further details on the reason for the players' nominations here:

David Brooks - Bournemouth

The midfielder is making up for the time he lost to injury last season. His dribbling skills allied to his desire to take on opponents brought him two goals and three assists in a three-game run in November – all of which Bournemouth won.

Adam Armstrong - Blackburn Rovers

It is as if last season didn’t end for Armstrong. Four more goals, including two against QPR, took him past 20 in the calendar year. What has changed is the nature of his goalscoring – plenty of poacher strikes from a more central role.

Carel Eiting - Huddersfield Town

The Ajax loanee comes as advertised with a sound technique seen in his delightfully dragged pass for an assist at Stoke. His three goals in the month were the real bonus, including an intelligent floated header against Luton.

Grant Hanley - Norwich City

Amid the rash of injuries affecting those around him, Hanley stood tall in the Norwich defence as they kept three clean sheets. He was particularly heroic at Middlesbrough and Stoke, making blocks late on to preserve both wins.

The winner of the award will be announced on Friday 11th December.

The judging panel for the Sky Bet Player of the Month comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, EFL communications director Mark Rowan and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
