Boruc signs new one-year deal

Experienced goalkeeper Artur Boruc has signed a new one-year contract at AFC Bournemouth.

The former Poland international has put pen to paper on a deal which will keep him at Vitality Stadium until the summer of 2020.

Thirty-nine-year-old Boruc made 17 appearances in all competitions for the Cherries during the 2018/19 campaign, keeping five clean sheets, and his new contract will take him into a sixth season at the club.

Boruc is one of 18 AFC Bournemouth players who have agreed new terms ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

Mikael Ndjoli, Sam Sherring and Jake Scrimshaw have signed two-year deals, while Corey Jordan, Shaun Hobson, Keelan O’Connell, Frankie Vincent, Jaidon Anthony, Tyrell Hamilton and Ryan Glover have all put pen to paper on one-year contracts.

In addition, Brennan Camp, Calum Ward, Jake Cope, Tom Dinsmore, Zeno Ibsen Rossi, Luke Nippard and Tom Hanfrey have signed third year scholarships.

New contracts have also been offered to Gavin Kilkenny, Dinesh Gillela, Charlie Seaman and Tyler Cordner.

Five players will depart Vitality Stadium at the end of June following the expiration of their contracts.

Marc Pugh will leave after nine years at AFC Bournemouth, having made 312 appearances in all competitions, scoring 56 goals.

Supporters were given the opportunity to show their appreciation for his incredible Cherries career, which included promotions from League One and the Championship, before the club’s final home game of the season against Tottenham Hotspur.

The club will also be celebrating his achievements on afcb.co.uk and social media in the coming days.

Goalkeepers Jordan Holmes and Tom Parker-Trott, midfielder James Boote and forward Nathan Clements have also been released.

AFC Bournemouth would like to thank all five players for their service to the club, and wish them well for the future.
