AFC Bournemouth midfielder Philip Billing was a second-half substitute in Denmark's defeat to Kazakhstan.

Billing collected his fifth cap for his country as he replaced Mathias Jensen in the 65th minute.

Denmark had appeared to be in cruise control in Astana as Rasmus Højlund scored twice, taking his total to five goals across two qualifying games.

However, Bakhtiyar Zaynutdinov sparked an unlikely comeback from the penalty spot before Askhat Tagybergen levelled with an audacious effort from distance.

With just a minute of normal time remaining, Abat Aimbetov won the game, before being sent off in stoppage time.

Billing was the only Cherries player to be in action across Sunday's action with young goalkeeper Ollie Camis an unused substitute for Wales under-19s in a 2-2 draw with Scotland.

Meanwhile, Illia Zabarnyi missed the UEFA EURO 2024 qualifying defeat to England, having been given permission by the Ukranian FA to remain at the Cherries to continue his rehabilitation.
