AFC Bournemouth’s first-team squad and members of the club’s backroom staff will sleep easier thanks to a link up with Beds Are Uzzz.
Located on Belle Vue Road in Southbourne, Beds Are Uzzz have donated pillows to manager Eddie Howe, his players and coaches to use for away travel in the new season.
Sleep is a crucial part of any athlete’s preparation as Dan Hodges, the Cherries’ Head of Sports Science, was keen to stress.
“Sleep is a hugely-understated element of performance and is something we have been placing a large emphasis on,” said Hodges, who attended Beds Are Uzzz’s premises to select the pillows.
“We have teamed up with Beds Are Uzzz in an aim to enhance sleep quality for all of our players during training and travel throughout the coming season.”
Matthew Donnelly, the owner of Beds Are Uzzz, added: “We are delighted to partner with AFC Bournemouth for the upcoming season.
“A good night’s sleep is such an important aspect of training and preparing for matches and I hope that the products that we have provided for the squad help contribute towards a very successful season.”
