The third edition of the AFCB Central Coast Community Cup was held on Saturday 6th October in Erina, NSW, Australia.

The seven-a-side tournament, which is hosted annually by the AFCB Central Coast Supporters Group, is designed to bring people together, play football, raise funds for a local charitable cause and together watch an AFC Bournemouth game live after the tournament.

Five supporter groups, all of different teams, participated in this year’s event and for just over two hours played for a place in the final.

Unfortunately for the Cherries, who managed to reach the final, fatigue set in and they were not able to defend the title they had won on the two previous occasions, with a West Ham supporters group coming away with victory.

Following the tournament, participants headed off for a meal and drinks, before watching the early kick-off and eventually AFC Bournemouth’s game against Watford, which started at midnight local time.

Spirits remained high as the Cherries hit four at Vicarage Road and came away with a clean sheet and all three points.

As well as a successful event and AFC Bournemouth scoreline, participants also raised over $700 for Amanda Peers, with the funds going towards her much needed cancer treatment.
