Brooklyn Genesini provided an assist as Poole Town came from behind to record a 2-1 win over Southern Premier South rivals Hendon at Black Gold Stadium.
The 19-year-old maintained his excellent start for the Dolphins after playing his part in a third successive victory since joining them at the start of the month.
Trailing to Hamza Semakula’s 13th-minute opener, Poole skipper Jamie Whisken had two efforts cleared off the line in the first half.
However, Whisken finally found a way past Hendon goalkeeper Fred Burbidge when he powerfully headed home Genesini’s 62nd-minute corner to make it 1-1.
In-form marksman Tony Lee, the division’s leading goalscorer, bagged his 16th of the season to earn the hosts all three points seven minutes from time.
Genesini, who helped the Dolphins keep clean sheets in his first two appearances, played the full 90 minutes for Tom Killick’s high-fliers.
Euan Pollock netted his first goals in senior football as Truro City overcame Willand Rovers 3-1 in the first round of the Southern League Cup last Wednesday.
Pollock made his seventh appearance for the White Tigers and took just five minutes to give them the lead at Silver Street, the teenager finishing assuredly after being set up by Stewart Yetton.
Although Mani Skett levelled for the hosts, Yetton restored Truro’s advantage before Pollock added his second and their third. He was replaced by Louis Rooney in the 70th minute.
Truro boss Paul Wotton told the club website: “Euan’s come in and done really well. He’s unfortunate to find himself out of the team to be honest after two good performances against Yate and Hungerford.
“He’s a player we really like. His attitude is great, he works hard and he’ll get his chance.”
Pollock will be hoping for more game time when Truro host Tiverton Town at Bolitho Park on Tuesday.
Jake Scrimshaw made his eighth appearance for Scunthorpe United as they went down 2-0 against League Two leaders Forest Green Rovers at Sands Venue Stadium.
Jamille Matt’s penalty and a goal from Ebou Adams, both coming in the space of five second-half minutes, saw Rovers open a four-point lead at the summit.
Sam Sherring looked on from the bench as Accrington Stanley suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of League One rivals Cheltenham Town.
Kyle Vassell’s first league goal for Cheltenham, which came 11 minutes from time at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium, saw them end a three-match losing run.
