Vitality Stadium - How to get here, where to park and the stadium plan

AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

The ground is within walking distance of both Bournemouth and Pokesdown train stations, as well as being serviced by buses. 


Supporters are also able to walk from Boscombe and Lansdowne, where there is a variety of shops, bars and restaurants. 


Visiting fans are housed in blocks 23 and 24 in the East Stand, which can be accessed through turnstile F. 


Turnstiles open 90 minutes before kick-off, allowing access to the concourse, serving food and drink and toilet facilities to use. 

Routes

AFC Bournemouth is located just outside of Bournemouth in Kings Park. The postcode is BH7 7AF


When driving to the ground, follow the brown road signs with a football logo to get to Vitality Stadium. Please note, some of the signs may refer to the ground as Dean Court. Supporters are advised to travel in plenty of time for the game. 


Travelling from the north: Follow the M6, exiting onto the M42 towards London, Warwick and Solihull, exiting at junction 3a onto the M40. Leave the M40 at junction 9, taking the A31 / A34 exit. At the Wendlebury Interchange, take the 3rd exit onto the A34 towards Oxford / Newbury. 


At the roundabout, take the third exit onto the M3. Follow the M27 and A31, exiting onto the A338 towards Bournemouth. Take the exit towards Boscombe, taking the second exit at the roundabout, into King’s Park Drive. The ground is on the left. 


Travelling from the south east: Follow the A27, M27 and A31, exiting onto the A338 towards Bournemouth. Take the exit towards Boscombe, taking the second exit at the roundabout into Kings Park Drive. The ground is on the left. 


Travelling from the south west: Follow the A35 to the A338. On the A338 take the slip road to the Springbourne Roundabout signposted Kings Park. Take the third exit off the roundabout and at the fire station stay in the left hand lane and turn left onto Holdenhurst Road. Stay to the left and go straight through at the traffic lights (the Queens Park Pub should be on your right). Take the third exit at the small roundabout and into Kings Park itself. 

Public_Transport

Bus: More Bus Wilts & Dorset provides bus routes from Lymington, Salisbury, Poole and Boscombe which brings supporters within walking distance of the stadium. To plan your journey or for more information, click here. 


Yellow Buses also deliver a range of routes that pass through Bournemouth and by Pokesdown train station, bringing fans to within five minutes of the stadium. To plan your journey or for more information, click here. 


Taxi: United Taxis is Bournemouth’s largest taxi fleet and they offer a 10% discount off fares to season ticket holders upon production of a valid season ticket. United Taxis have also installed a telephone in the main reception, which connects directly to their switchboard. To book a taxi please call 01202 55 66 77. 


Train: Pokesdown Station 


The nearest train station to the stadium is Pokesdown, which is roughly a mile from the and around a 15 minute walk away. Exit the station and turn right down the main Christchurch Road (A35) for 400m and turn right into Gloucester Road. Follow the road to the bottom to arrive at Vitality Stadium.

Bournemouth Station 


A large majority of trains arrive at Bournemouth Central, which is a 30 minute walk. Leave the station by the south exit, (facing Asda) and turn left to head towards the main road. Turn left again and walk straight up Holdenhurst Road for around 25 minutes, until you reach a roundabout at which you turn right into Kings Park Drive. The ground is on the left.

Car_Parking

Parking is available to the south of the ground for just £1 for the duration of the match. The fee is payable on entrance to the car park upon production of a valid match ticket. 


Fans may experience delays in leaving the car park after the final whistle. Please be aware, there is an exit at the south end of the car park, which will bring you out via Gloucester Road in Boscombe. 


Alternatively, the Sovereign Centre on Christchurch Road, which is also approximately 10 minutes’ walk from the ground, is available for matchday parking for both Saturday and week night games.  Parking fees have been reduced prior to the 2016/17 season and cost just £2 for 4 hours and £4 for 24 hours.


Supporters will also be able to use Harewood College for parking Saturday home games. 


This parking facility has the advantage of being away from the congestion around Kings Park, while only a short walk to Vitality Stadium, allowing easier access. 


Available from noon, the car park will be manned by a steward until kick-off and the charge is just £2 to park. 


Several residential roads adjacent to the ground have parking restrictions, which the club asks supporters to adhere to. Where these do not exist, please be mindful of existing drive entrances and avoid parking illegally or unsafely. The club is determined to have ensure matches impact on local residents as little as possible. 


Vitality Stadium is in the heart of Kings Park and is surrounded by residential areas. The club politely ask that supporters respect its neighbours at all times.
