The 20-year-old winger, who has penned a four-year deal at Vitality Stadium, also admitted that the Cherries’ young squad and style of play helped to sway his decision making.
“It’s exciting,” Ibe told Cherries Player HD.
“I like the philosophy the manager has got here and there are a lot of good, young players so it’s a good place for me to kick on and do well.
“The team play the same style of football as Brendan Rogers used to play at Liverpool, which is something that I like.”
The England under-21 international has made the switch from Liverpool after clocking up 41 appearances for the Reds last term.
And Ibe was quick to show his gratitude to the staff at Anfield for their support during his time with the club.
“It’s been five seasons at Liverpool,” he continued.
“I’ve enjoyed it thoroughly and I have to thank Frank McParland and Alex Inglethorpe from the youth team. They’ve helped and developed me from the under-16s to the first team.
“But this is a great opportunity for me to help take another step in my career and develop as a player.”
