Cherries set to remain top of the class with Bournemouth University

AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

As the club’s official higher education partner, BU will continue to work closely with the Cherries, as they have done since the establishment of the partnership in 2013.

This work will once again include a number of student ambassadors volunteering to help supporters on matchdays, as well as AFC Bournemouth providing work experience opportunities and coaches to support BU’s football teams.

“We are delighted to be working with Bournemouth University again this season,” commented commercial director Rob Mitchell.

“Since 2013 this have proved to be a very fruitful partnership for both parties, and one that we are sure will continue to be a success.

“Both AFC Bournemouth and Bournemouth University are big organisations within the local area and both are committed to the community they based in.

“I am sure, therefore, that this partnership extension will continue to benefit BU students, staff and the local community, as well as us here at the football club.”

Jim Andrews, chief operating officer at Bournemouth University, also commented, “We are proud to be official partners with our local football club.

“This partnership has provided real opportunities to our students, and has been to the benefit of the local community here in Dorset.

“We will now be building on our partnership this year to the benefit of our communities, both regionally and internationally.”
