The draw was made on Monday night and has given the Cherries a trip to south London to face the Lions, who are currently ninth in League One, with 28 points from their 19 league games to date.
Millwall, who were finalists in 2004, beat Southend United and Braintree Town to reach this stage of the competition.
The last time the sides met was in December 2014 in the Championship, when Bournemouth ran out 2-0 winners away from home thanks to first half goals from Yann Kermorgant and Harry Arter.
The tie will be played at the New Den on the weekend commencing Friday, 6th January, and ticket details will follow in due course.
