AFC Bournemouth women extended their unbeaten run to ten games, with a 2-0 weekend win over Larkhall Athletic at Verwood Town.
Jade Bradley and Lucy Cooper got the goals for Steve Cuss' side, who remain second and have three games in hand over top spot Cheltenham Town.
After the game, he spoke with afcb.co.uk about his side's performance and the three points.
"First and foremost, I'm delighted to get another three points," he said.
"Performance-wise, I was a little disappointed that we weren't at our fluent best today. I said to the players, you can't be at that level every week and it's important that when you're not you still win the game. That's what's we've done today.
"We couldn't really get our passing going in the final third, I thought it was good in other areas but just that final third we had to work it a lot.
"Huge credit to the opposition, they were a really young side today but really good as well and they deserve a lot of credit."
Cuss continued by praising the efforts of goalkeeper, Sam Chrippes, who made a point-blank save to keep the hosts ahead early in the second-half.
The side have conceded just three goals in the National League this season and have now kept seven clean sheets in ten games.
"I said to the players at 1-0, they're going to get a chance and we needed to get that second goal.
"We did get that but Sam's save was top drawer. It was an unbelievably good save from her and it was really important.
"It kept us in the game and kept us in front, so it was absolutely crucial at the time. It's another clean sheet for her and the back four and they can be very pleased with that."
With yesterday's match being the first at home in 2022, the Cherries now have three consecutive fixtures at Verwood Town and would love to see the support of fans as they continue the push for promotion.
"We've had a number of away games and different cup competitions, so it's nice to be back here today," Cuss concluded.
"We had a few people watching here today which is nice and hopefully they'll come back again in the next few weeks.
"We've got a few in a row here and it would be great to see as many people come down as possible."
