AFC Bournemouth Women got back to winning ways with a 5-1 win away at Woodley United.

Rosie Eden netted a brace in Reading, while Katie Kingshott, Rebecca Miles and Abby Jones also all got on the scoresheet. 

The Cherries looked to hit the ground running following a 3-0 defeat to Moneyfields last weekend, and they nearly had the lead with just minutes gone of the game. 

Rachel Anderson tried her luck from 20 yards and saw the shot hit the bar, go onto the post and then fall into the goalkeeper's hands before it had crossed the line. 

However, the visitors soon got a reward for their early pressure, with Kingshott finding the target. 

The midfielder was first to react after the ball fell loose from a corner, hitting it from just outside the box and into the top corner with seven minutes on the clock. 

Kingshott was involved again for the second goal, combining well with Jones on the right, before the cross came in and was met by Miles, who tapped home from close range. 

Jones herself then got on the scoresheet to add a third for her side in what was her first senior goal for the Women's team, having stepped up from the under-16s at the start of the season. 

Eden was the provider this time, crossing in from the wing, with the youngster beating Woodley's 'keeper to the ball and tapping home. 

The forward was later rewarded for her hard work with two goals in the final ten minutes. 

Substitute Terri Harvey played her through and, with the 'keeper rushing out, Eden won the race and finished beyond her. 

Seven minutes later and her tally was doubled with what was the goal of the afternoon. 

Some great work from Maisy Smith down the right saw the ball hooked back from the by-line, with Eden running onto it and volleying a fierce shot home, leaving the 'keeper unmoved. 

With the clock running down, the hosts made the most of the final opportunity of the game. 

Freya Jenkins beat the offside trap and was through one-on-one, converting her shot past Steph Small. 

Following the game, manager Steve Cuss spoke with afcb.co.uk about the win. 

"I'm really pleased with the result, it was a really important one," he began. 

"We showed good character to bounce back from last week and passed the ball well throughout the game. 

"We took our chances and found that early goal, which I think set the tone for the game."
