Meg Vella, Rebecca Miles and Hannah Bennett all got hat-tricks, with Rosie Eden also bagging a brace.

The Cherries got off to a flying start, after a handball from the hosts inside the area saw the referee point to the spot with just 38 seconds gone.

Bennett stepped up and duly converted with a low and powerful penalty into the bottom corner.

Within five minutes, the side had a second, Vella making the most of a loose ball in the box, then going on to turn her player and net from close range.

Steve Cuss’ team further extended their lead moments later, with Eden tapping in Vella’s cross, before the scorer then turned provider as Miles found the target from a similar position.

Eden grabbed her second of the afternoon as half-an-hour mark neared, this time finishing a ball from right-back Abby Jones.

Just before the break, there was time for a sixth in what was arguably the goal of the afternoon.

Miles received the ball in space around 20-yards out, before turning and drilling a left-footed shot way beyond the reach of New Milton’s ‘keeper.

The Cherries came out for the second half and were hungry for more and Vella provided the first taste of that in what was a goal which rivalled the technique of Miles’ just prior to the interval.

The striker picked her spot from just outside the area and the ball consequently flew into the top corner for number seven.

Two quick-fire goals from Bennett soon ensured that she completed her hat-trick, the first being another from the penalty spot after a handball once again and the second a delightful finish from Miles’ ball in.

Another strike from outside the area gave Vella her third and final goal of the afternoon, before Miles rounded off the scoring by netting her side’s eleventh thanks to yet another good cross from Eden on the right.
