AFC Bournemouth Women won for a third week in a row, overcoming Ascot United at Verwood Town on Sunday.
Goals from Meg Vella, Terri Harvey and Becky Miles helped the side to a 3-1 win, with the Cherries taking maximum points from their opening fixtures.
Following the game, women’s manager Steve Cuss spoke with afcb.co.uk.
“It was a really tough game in terms of the opposition,” he began.
“They were tough to break down. We had a lot of the ball and perhaps didn’t create as much as we had in previous games given that we dominated possession.
“It was great to score at the start of both halves and it put us in a good position. It was disappointing to concede late on and allow them a route back into the game, but then scoring again put the game to bed.
“Winning games is what we’re trying to do and we’ll be hoping to do that again in the FA Cup next weekend.
“It’s another home game for us, a fourth in a row. We’re looking forward to it. New Milton have started strongly and it’s going to be tough, but it’s a cup competition and one we want to do well in.”
