AFC Bournemouth Women maintained their unbeaten start to the season, after beating Fleet Town 9-0 away from home.
The Cherries begun the game strongly, with 16-year-old Beth Perdrisat netting from within the area inside ten minutes.
It wasn’t long before the Cherries doubled their lead, as Terri Harvey pounced on a through ball from Chloe Tape to net her first of the game, toe-poking past Sam Aspey for 2-0.
AFC Bournemouth continued to press, with Tape, Harvey and Collier all being put through one-on-one, only to be denied by some fantastic saves.
Just after the half-hour mark, it was Tape who was rewarded for her efforts, with Steve Davies’ side sailing into a 3-0 lead at the break.
An increased intensity from the Cherries saw the 24-year-old net her second following the restart, before a fifth goal for the visitors came from left-back Aimee Burridge, whose bullet at the near post was her first goal for the club.
With just under half-an-hour to go, Tape bagged her hat-trick after powering past the Fleet full-back and slotting in behind the ‘keeper.
And the midfielder wasn’t done there, with her fourth and most impressive goal coming 20 minutes later. A fine solo effort saw her beat a host of Fleet defenders before finishing neatly into the net.
With minutes remaining, Cherries youngster Jade Hockey was the fifth Cherries player to get on the scoresheet, catching her shot well inside the box for 8-0.
And there was still time for striker Harvey to net her second of the game, as she made the most of a through ball with the last kick of the game.
Following the full-time whistle, a delighted Steve Davies spoke to afcb.co.uk and gave his view on the win.
“I’m really pleased with the performance,” he said.
“We still have some things to work on, but we can be really pleased with a clean sheet and lots of goals.”
