The AFC Bournemouth youth team came from behind at the weekend to record a 2-1 win away to Cheltenham Town.

The result serves as a fitting way to go into Tuesday's Youth Alliance Cup final with Luton Town, a match all fans are invited to watch for FREE at Vitality Stadium.

Going behind just after the break, Antonio Diaz levelled matter minutes later before the Cherries grabbed their winner in the last 15 minutes.

Coach Carl Fletcher was happy with his young side's response after a slow opening period: "The first half wasn't great but the second half showing made up for that and was really pleasing.

"The players took on board what was asked of them but they also showed on-field leadership and turned round situations themselves.

"We had seven under-16s involved so it was a young side, so that made things all the better for us, some of them have shown they've earned the right to be involved with the under-18s on Tuesday night."
