Thanks for joining us

The Cherries are receiving a huge ovation here! Eddie Howe is also getting a massive reception.

Thanks for joining our live coverage and we'll see you again soon!

FT

FULL-TIME

An excellent point for the Cherries, who were brilliant today.

90'+4'

Solanke drives over

The forward picks up the ball at the edge of the area and shoots, but sends it over the bar.

90'+3'

Joelinton booked

Tavernier looks to burst forward and he's fouled by Joelinton, who receives a yellow.

90'

WOW!

The Cherries are SO close to scoring!

Traorè wins the ball back from Burn and crosses to the box, where Semenyo and Solanke are waiting.

Solanke flicks it towards goal and beats Pope but Trippier somehow stops it from crossing the line. SO CLOSE!

Seven minutes added on...

86'

Botman booked

The Cherries have a free-kick from around 30-yards out.

As Traorè lines it up, Botman pushes Lerma to the floor and receives a yellow card.

Traorè blasts his effort high over the bar.

82'

Saint-Maximin is replaced

Saint-Maximin takes a blow as he lands in an aerial battle with Fredericks and he has to be replaced.

Elliot Anderson comes on.

It's been very stop-start in the last ten minutes or so.

80'

Big block Meps!

Newcastle make their second change as Jacob Murphy replaces Miguel Almirón.

They then have a chance as a shot which is superbly blocked by Mepham.

78'

Our final changes

The Cherries make two changes for the final portion of the game.

Antoine Semenyo makes his home debut and Ryan Fredericks returns.

Adam Smith and Dango Ouattara make way.

78'

Traorè cross cut out

The Cherries look to hit Newcastle on the counter and Traorè plays a lovely cross into the box.

Solanke is free and Botman has to desperately hook clear.

72'

Yellow for Smith

The Cherries defender commits a cynical foul on Gordon and receives a yellow card.

70'

Gordon puts it wide!

That's a big chance for Newcastle!

Neto spills a low shot and crashes into Longstaff in the box.

The ball rebounds against Gordon but he pokes his effort wide from close range.

68'

Tavernier chance!

Tavernier has a decent opening here!

He lets the ball run across his body and takes a shot from inside the area.

His effort lacks power and Pope collects.

67'

Isak blasts over

Newcastle have a chance to take the lead.

Mepham's attempted clearance cannons against Isak and falls kindly for the Swede.

He takes a shot from a narrow angle but skies it.

62'

Welcome back, Tav!

The Cherries make their second change of the evening as Marcus Tavernier replaces Jaidon Anthony.

59'

Gordon booked

The Cherries make a quick counter attack through Smith and Gordon trips him up as they cross the half-way line.

Obvious yellow card.

56'

Saint-Maximin fires over

The Newcastle winger turns brilliantly on the left touchline and takes the opportunity to shoot from distance.

It's a bad shot though and flies high over the bar.

52'

First change for the Cherries

Marcos Senesi picked up an injury on the stroke of half-time and can't continue in this second half.

Chris Mepham replaces him. A wonderful ovation for the Cherries goalscorer.

46'

Back underway!

The Cherries kick off this second half and are immediately on the attack!

It's a clever routine and the ball is clipped towards the right touchline.

It's delivered into the middle and the ball eventually falls to Billing, who nonchalantly flicks the ball towards goal. Just wide.

HT

That first half

There's not really a bad word I can say about that first half, other than conceding a late equaliser.

The Cherries have been so intense in attacking areas and the likes of Anthony, Traorè, Ouattara and Solanke have been brilliant.

We've largely defended excellently and we have lots of positives to take into the second half. The game is up for grabs!

HT

HALF-TIME

A late blow in that first half but the Cherries have been really impressive here.

More to come!

45'+1'

GOAL - NEWCASTLE

The visitors are level on the brink of half-time.

Miguel Almirón is the scorer.

Longstaff burst through midfield and forced an exceptional one-handed save from Neto.

However, Almirón was on hand to tuck home from the rebound.

45'

Two minutes added

The Cherries are continuing to get into good attacking areas as Ouattara skins Burn and sends in a low cross to Anthony, who just couldn't get his shot away.

The fourth official then signals two additional minutes.

42'

Newcastle pushing

The visitors have started to control possession here and are sending ball after ball into the box but the Cherries have defended well so far.

Stephens and Senesi are winning header after header. Can we hold on until half-time?

38'

That moment when you score your first Cherries goal!

34'

Change for Newcastle

Joe Willock's evening is over and he'll need to be replaced. Anthony Gordon replaces him.

32'

Solanke header saved

The Cherries are ALIVE here!

Ouattara curls in a nice cross and Solanke meets it in the middle.

His header is straight at Pope and the goalkeeper makes the save.

30'

GOAL - BOURNEMOUTH

THE CHERRIES HAVE THE LEAD!

Traorè sends in a lovely cross from the left, Dango heads on and Marcos Senesi is at the back post to apply the finish.

A deserved lead for the Cherries!

27'

Anthony curls wide

The Cherries are continuing to attack and Anthony has a go at goal now.

He cuts inside from the left and looks to curl the ball into the far corner.

He gets it massively wrong but it was a decent area.

26'

Dom shoots from distance

The game has slowed down a bit but the Cherries still look a threat on the counter attack.

Solanke thinks he's worked a yard of space and takes aim from around 25-yards, but his shot is blocked.

The intention is good though!

19'

Dangerous break!

Dango and Hamed are making a real difference!

They exchange clever passes on the right flank, Hamed getting the chance to turn on the ball.

Traorè plays a nicely weighted ball into the path of Ouattara and he looks set to cross to Solanke, who is alive in the box. However, he mis-kicks the cross and Newcastle can clear.

16'

The closest we've come so far!

14'

Dom is everywhere!

The Cherries look electric on the attack tonight!

Dom is doing what Dom does best - dropping in and linking play.

He receives the ball in his own half and plays in Ouattara, who shifts away from his marker and up the pitch.

Dom makes a great run and Ouattara tries to play him through on goal with a clever reverse pass.

A defender gets a vital touch to take it away from the Cherries man and into Pope's arms. Lovely stuff though!

12'

CLOSE!

Excellent play from the Cherries!

We work the ball around the box, showing patience as he look for an opening.

Anthony eventually spots it, curling a decent cross towards Solanke in the middle.

The striker glances on and the ball is heading towards the far corner, Pope requiring to dive across and tip behind. He was definitely worried!

10'

Schär heads wide

Newcastle win a corner on the right and a decent ball from Trippier picks out Schär in the box. He doesn't get a firm connection and skews his header wide.

The Cherries attempt a quick goal-kick to release Ouattara but Burn is alive to head away. Nice idea though!

8'

Challenge for Dom

It's still pretty cagey here as Tommy Elphick gets a talking to from the referee following his reaction to a stoppage in play.

Lerma made a good tackle on Willock, who went down injured while off the field of play, but the official stopped play anyway.

Dom has a real taste against some of the biggest defenders in the league in Schär, Botman and Burn, but he makes a great turn inside the Newcastle half. He attempts to feed Traorè but the Ivorian is unable to progress with the ball.

5'

Quiet start

It's been a pretty quiet start for both teams here at Vitality Stadium.

Stephens was tested for the first time as he returns to the squad as Isak threatened to break free but he handled himself well and made a good tackle.

Otherwise, both teams quite happy to have the ball with Newcastle probably shading possession so far.

1'

GO TIME!

Newcastle get us underway in this first half.

COME ON YOU CHERRIES!

17:25

Here they come!

We're moments away from kick-off now.

The two teams make their way to the pitch, the atmosphere is absolutely rocking here.

17:20

Final prep

We're just ten minutes away from kick-off!

The lads have just finished up their final part of their warm-up and return to the changing room for the last word.

Our Fans' Champion is a young lad called Edward Simpson, who is making a recovery from a brain tumour.

He's trying to raise 100k for charities working with children and he receives a really big ovation as he delivers the ball to the pitch.

17:15

Our new captain

The lads are warming up on the pitch as kick-off grows nearer and nearer.

During the week, Neto was confirmed as the new captain of the Cherries and he'll be wearing the armband this evening.

The goalkeeper impressed Gary O'Neil with his professionalism and personality and his language skills is proving particularly useful with Italian, Spanish and French speakers added to the squad.

17:05

Birthday boy!

Dango Ouattara is celebrating today as he turns 21.

The winger had an excellent debut in our last home fixture, getting an assist, and he'll get to play with Dom today!

We hope he has a memorable day!

16:55

Another big miss

We're delighted to see Marcus Tavernier in the squad this afternoon.

The attacking midfielder was on fire before the World Cup break, getting four assists and two goals in three matches.

However, he's been missing ever since and the Cherries have missed his direct running and creativity, so Gary O'Neil will be delighted to welcome him back on the bench today.

16:50

Newcastle's team news

Our opponents this afternoon have confirmed their team news.

The main info is that former Cherries forward Callum Wilson is missing today.

Bruno Guimarães is suspended and not involved either.

Familiar faces Matt Ritchie and Ryan Fraser are on the bench.

16:45

Dom is back!

The big news from the team news is Dominic Solanke is BACK!

For the first time since the trip to Old Trafford at the start of January, Solanke starts.

He's been a big miss in recent weeks and we're looking forward to seeing him alongside Dango and Hamed.

16:30

THE TEAM TODAY

The Cherries have announced their starting XI for this evening's game and there's some big bits of news!

Dominic Solanke is back in the team and starts, and is joined by Jack Stephens.

New signings Hamed Traorè and Dango Ouattara continue in the team.

Marcus Tavernier is listed on the bench, returning from injury.

16:25
