Commentary By

The Cherries earn a point away at Sheffield United.

Sheffield United had the better chances as Travers made two outstanding saves and Uremovic fired wide late on, but Scott Parker's men did well at one of the toughest away trips in the league.

Sheffield United have a glorious chance to win it.

The ball is nodded down to Uremovic, unmarked in the middle, and he slashes it at goal.

However, he gets it massively wrong and sends it wide!

Kelly booked

The Cherries captain takes one for the team as he halts Gibbs-White from a counter attack.

Four minutes added on

On for the Cherries

Robbie Brady replaces the injured Zemura.

Zemura picks up an injury

Zemura touches the ball on to clear the ball for a throw-in and picks up an injury in the process.

Looks a nasty one and Brady immediately gets ready to replace him.

Good news for the Cherries left-back is that he's been able to walk off the pitch and the stretcher isn't needed.

Sheffield United penalty claim

The home side are adamant they should have a penalty as a player goes down under Phillips' challenge.

Gibbs-White beat the defender to the ball and as Phillips swung a leg to clear it, he connected with the Sheffield United man. Looks like a reasonable shout.

Thankfully the referee waves play on.

Uremovic receives treatment

A brief break in play as Uremovic goes down under Billing's challenge, who'd slipped as he chased the ball.

Uremovic appeared to be in real distress as the physio team came on but looks fine to continue.

Change for Sheffield United

Sander Berge is replaced by Conor Hourihane.

Just over!

Anthony wins a corner on the left and steps up to take it, playing it short to Christie.

He drives inside and clips a cross towards the back post.

Phillips nods it back into the middle and Kelly uses the outside of his foot to guide it towards goal, but it's just over the bar.

Using a long throw

Not something we've seen very often this season but Lloyd Kelly brings out his long-throw.

Phillips rises highest at the near post to flick it on but Sheffield United clear.

Cook works it to Kelly again and he crosses from the left. It bounces off Solanke's legs but it's too far away for Anthony to capitalise on.

First Bournemouth change

Jaidon Anthony comes on for Siriki Dembele in our first substitution of the afternoon.

Billing booked

The Cherries have a counter attack through Christie and he tries to back-heel it to Solanke, which was probably the wrong choice.

As Sheffield United counter, Billing is judged to have committed a foul and receives a yellow.

Sheffield United change

John Fleck is replaced by Ben Osborn in the first substitution of the match.

Booking for Egan

The Sheffield United captain dives in late on Solanke and receives a yellow card as a result.

Travers - that is huge!

A massive save from Travers!

A Phillips slip allows Gibbs-White in one-on-one and Travers comes out to narrow the angle, making an outstanding stop to keep the Cherries level.

The Cherries causing more problems

The running of Billing and Lerma is causing Sheffield United some issues, as well as the high press.

Lerma exchanges a nice one-two with Solanke and drives down the right side of the box, but a heavy touch stops him from getting a cross in and it rolls out of play.

Good defending by Uremovic

Billing almost finds himself through on goal as he races onto Solanke's touch.

He looks like he's beaten the home defence but excellent work by Uremovic to get a toe to the ball stops the attack in its tracks.

Kelly is playing well!

Twice McBurnie tries to beat Kelly on the right and both times Kelly has stayed to his task and defended well. He's also won a free-kick and a goal-kick in the process, much to the home fans frustration.

Chance for Dembele to race into the box

The Cherries work the ball down the left and Dembele beats his man along the touchline.

Sheffield United are convinced the ball has gone out of play but the assistant referee says no.

Dembele is tackled in the area, winning a corner.

The deep set-piece is sent back into the box by Kelly but it's defended well.

Chance for United!

Sheffield United win a corner at the other end and take it short. The eventual cross finds Davies unmarked in the middle, but his header is well wide. He should have done better there.

The Cherries win their first corner of the game and we play it short towards Solanke at the near post.

The ball rolls to Fleck and bizarrely he drills the ball across the six-yard box, somehow just missing any player in the middle. It would have been a great cross for his own team!

The Cherries take a long throw from the other side but a foul is committed and the referee awards a free-kick.

Back underway!

Sheffield United kick us off in this second half. Let's go!

Nothing to separate the two teams

There really hasn't been much to separate the two teams so far.

Sheffield United have had the best chance as Gibbs-White forced a good save from Travers in the final moments of the half.

However, the stats show that both teams have been fairly neck and neck.

Sheffield United edge the possession count with 52% compared to our 48% and have had seven shots on goal, to our five.

However, we've had more shots on target with two, Sheffield United with just one.

The home side have won more corners, five to zero, but have also conceded significantly more fouls, 13 in the first-half compared to five. As a result, they've received both of the yellow cards so far.

We're level at the break.

Sheffield United probably the most threatening of the two teams but the Cherries have got into some good areas.

We just need to be a bit more ruthless when we get into the final third, whether that's with the shot or the final pass.

Good save Travers!

The Cherries are almost in at one end before Travers has to save at the other.

Solanke receives the ball at the edge of the box and has to find Christie in space in a shooting position, but can't get his pass away.

Sheffield United counter attack quickly and McBurnie does well to feed Gibbs-White and the England under-21 international fires at goal.

For a moment it looks like Travers has read it wrong but he adjusts and makes a good one-handed save!

Cherries hit on the counter

The Cherries win the ball in the middle of the pitch and counter attack through Christie.

He drives through the middle and attempts to feed Dembele, who is racing past the defender's shoulder.

The defender gets a touch on it and deflects it towards goal, wrong-footing Foderingham in the process but the goalkeeper reacts quickly and stops it at the far corner.

Dembele shoots wide

Good pressing from Christie as he wins the ball back in the Sheffield United half.

He cuts the ball across to Dembele at the edge of the box who wiggles away from three players and creates space for a shot.

He drags his effort though and it rolls wide for a goal-kick.

Solanke almost gets in!

Kelly sends a long ball forward and Solanke beats Uremovic to try and get onto it.

The ball runs through to Egan and his back-pass is underhit and Solanke desperately tries to race onto it.

Foderingham is out quick to make the clearance and Solanke collides with him in the process, and Sheffield United win a free-kick.

Fleck booked

The Cherries defend a free-kick well and Christie races onto the loose ball, beating Fleck to it, who smashes into the winger.

The Scottish midfielder can have no complaints as he receives a yellow card.

Christie blasts over

The Scottish winger isn't scared to pull the trigger today!

It's well worked in the middle as he exchanges a good one-two with Cook, under pressure, and finds himself in space around 30 yards from goal.

He decides to let fly and hits it with plenty of power, but it soars over the bar.

Christie has another shot

Fairly comfortable for Foderingham.

It was nice, patient build-up play as the Cherries worked the ball to the right flank.

Christie uses the run of Smith as a dummy and cuts inside onto his left foot, driving an effort to the bottom near corner.

Foderingham shuffles across and makes the stop.

Good defending Kelly!

Sheffield United counter attack at the other end and have a chance through McBurnie.

Smith had done well to track back and stop Fleck getting through but his touch fell nicely to the Scottish forward.

He takes a touch and fires at goal, Kelly doing well to stand up and deflect it over the bar.

Christie shot saved

The Cherries have a free-kick as McBurnie leaves a foot in on Travers.

He sends it up field and it bounces through to Dembele, who finds Christie making a good run into the area.

He can see Foderingham off his line and tries to chip the goalkeeper, but doesn't have enough on it and the United shot-stopper catches it.

Phillips shot blocked!

The Cherries whip in the free-kick through Christie and Zemura glances it on.

It bounces through to Phillips, who volleys at goal.

A deflection carries it wide but the referee has given a goal-kick instead.

Good defending from Lerma forced a corner for Sheffield United as he tracked back to intercept a cut back from Stevens.

The corner is good though and Kelly attempts to clear it behind, but gets it wrong and watches it clip the cross bar instead!

A huge sigh of relief there!

From the second corner, the Cherries counter through Dembele and he's hauled back by Stevens, who receives the first yellow card.

Kelly has to clear behind

It's been a really quiet opening 20 minutes as both teams sound each other out.

A good cross from the left forces Kelly into clearing behind, his clearance flying just wide of Travers' left post.

The corner is clipped to the edge of the box to Norwood, who volleys it first-time but it flies wide.

The opening period

There really hasn't been a lot to write home about in the opening 13 minutes or so.

Both teams have had spells on the ball without harming the opposition, neither side has had a clear cut chance yet.

The game has been fairly stop-start too, the Cherries in particular have won a number of fouls so far.

Christie free-kick harmless

The Cherries win a free-kick on the right wing as Smith is wiped out.

Christie steps up to take it and tries to whip one into the middle, but puts too much on it and it bounces behind for a goal-kick.

A half-chance!

Good play from Dom!

The Cherries win a throw deep in the Sheffield United half and Solanke receives it on the touchline.

He shows good feet to drive into the area and towards the goal. He's at a tight angle and he tries to prod it across goal, but he can only put it out of play.

At the other end, a good cross from Stevens allows a chance for McBurnie to throw himself at the ball but he can only meet it with his chest and it bounces well wide.

The Cherries in a 4-2-3-1

Scott Parker's side look like they've started in a slightly adjusted shape this afternoon.

Billing is operating in a number ten position while Lerma is sitting alongside Cook in the deeper role.

The Cherries get this Sky Bet Championship game started!

It was another clever kick-off routine as we hold the ball in the middle of the park, before clipping it up-field.

Lerma flicks it on and it almost runs through to Solanke, but it's cleared.

The two teams make their way to the pitch at Bramall Lane!

The Cherries are in their cactus green third strip, while the Blades are in their famous red and white stripes.

The travelling faithful behind the goal to the left of the dugout give a big ovation as the Cherries race over to them.

A round of applause for David Brooks

The Sheffield United announcer takes a moment to acknowledge the programme cover this afternoon, which features Cherries star David Brooks, who is battling cancer.

As he's mentioned, Bramall Lane breaks into applause, which is a nice gesture.

We're expecting the usual David Brooks chants in the seventh minute to be really special here.

A word from the gaffer!

Getting prepped!

The Cherries are out at Bramall Lane warming up!

As we speak, the squad is split up across the pitch.

The attacking players are doing finishing practice, separated by the side of the pitch they'll play. Lerma and Christie are shooting from the right, Dembele and Billing are shooting from the left and Solanke is firing from a central area.

Near the half-way line, the back four are working with Matt Wells - practicing keeping in shape as balls are clipped towards them. Phillips powers a header away as Smith adjusts to cover him.

Nearest the dugout are the substitutes, who are doing a ball session with Steve Fletcher. There's a player in the middle of the circle trying to win the ball as the rest of the players quickly shift it about.

It's all very organised on the pitch and clearly everything is very methodically thought about. Kick-off is fast approaching and the lads are looking sharp.

Words from Lew

Cherries midfielder Lewis Cook caught up with Sky Sports ahead of kick-off and reiterated how important it is for the side to bounce back this lunchtime.

How Sheffield United line-up

The home side have also announced their squad:

: Foderingham (GK), Baldock, Stevens, Fleck, Berge, McBurnie, Egan, Norwood, Davies, Uremovic, Gibbs-White.

Subs: Davies (GK), Robinson, Osborn, Hourihane, Ndiaye, Norrington-Davies, Jebbison.

How we line-up

This is how the Cherries line-up this afternoon!

Scott Parker makes one change to the starting line-up as Siriki Dembele comes in for Jaidon Anthony.

Robbie Brady and Chris Mepham come in on the bench for Jack Stacey and Gary Cahill.

A class touch!

Sheffield United have put together a special programme cover featuring Cherries star David Brooks.

The Wales international is recovering from Hodgkin's Lymphoma and is making good progress, per his last update.

Brooks is an academy graduate at Bramall Lane and made 37 appearances, scoring three goals, before moving to the Cherries.
