Commentary By

Thank you for your support

Be you on your phone at work (don't worry, that's between us), live in the away end or making sure you don't miss a beat wherever you may be, thanks for being with us.

An emotional day, and a magnificent result.

Until Tuesday, thanks!

A round of applause

Put simply, that is a brilliant away performance.

Restricting their opponents to only one real chance will carving the City defence open time after time.

Two goals to be proud of for Scott Parker's side and there could have been plenty more.

All in front of the backdrop provided by 2,409 fans-worth of brilliant away support, all getting behind Brooks and hopefully ensuring he knows how loved he is.

Full time: Bristol City 0-2 AFC Bournemouth

The away fans are enjoying this

Real 'ole' football, the Cherries are sauntering to an away victory!

Three minutes to add on

Corner Cherries

The visitors are comfortable here, working the corner short and still nearly scoring as Stanislas looked to tee up Solanke.

Before the set piece was taken Rogers came on for Christie.

The good news keeps on coming

Stanislas is on as he returns from his hamstring injury.

He replaces Billing who, it has to be said, has been excellent again today, right at the heart of everything.

Blocked on the line, then blocked again!

If Solanke goes home without a goal to his name today he'll wonder how.

Great feet to get a shot away from ten yards, he beats the 'keeper - but not the defender sprawling on the line.

It's back out to Lerma, will he have better luck? No, it's blocked again.

Not sure how a third goal hasn't been scored there.

Still a chapter or two to come in this one, perhaps?

Caution for Kelly

After a Cherries attack breaks down the Robins look to counter.

King looks to turn Kelly on halfway and is brought down, the referee reaches for his pocket and the visiting skipper is on a yellow.

That's our two centre-backs on cautions now.

First change for the Cherries

Lerma is on for goalscorer Lowe.

Solanke slides wide, Wells wasteful

The away end are loving this, every couple of minutes the visitors are going close.

This time it's Solanke who again is in the thick of things, his shot off target.

City then nearly pull one back though, in fact Wells probably should have done when he connected with a cross close in on goal.

The ball bobbles wide instead.

You can't take your eyes off of this!

Christie, again!

An homage to Strictly Come Dancing as the Scot shows delicate footwork to find a pocket of space, he then thwacks in a low strike that runs across goal and wide.

Stay tuned for the highlights for today's game, there are going to be plenty of them.

Solanke goes close

Now it's Solanke getting close to a third for the buoyant Cherries, this one a low effort saved by the 'keeper.

Billing fizzes wide!

The Dane sets his sights and fires in an arrow of a strike that only narrowly beats the far post.

What (another) great goal that would have been.

Christie tests the 'keeper

Fully 25 yards from the target and Christie's rasping effort stings the palms of Bentley.

The intent is still there from the away side.

Back to it!

The teams are out, the Cherries are 2-0 up, let's get this second half started.

Joy for Zemura, joy for the Cherries!

Patchy wifi

Apologies if we drop out at any point, the Ashton Gate wifi is not putting in a man-of-the-match display.

We are trying and persevering!

Half time: Bristol City 0-2 AFC Bournemouth

2-0, Zemura with an absolute stonker!

So... POTM for August, GOTM for September... GOTM for October may be in the bag for Zemura now as well!

Christie sprays a stunning crossfield pass to the left-back, who collects.

He steps over once, twice, thrusts past his man and buries an unstoppable rising drive past Bentley at the near post!

We're in dream land!

Two additional minutes to add on

Caution for Cahill

O'Dowda stands up Cahill and beats him, our defender stretching and bringing him down.

A yellow card for the Cherries man.

Closest yet from City

Substitute Wells steals in to turn a cross goalwards but in truth the shot wasn't that close to going in, that's the home side's best chance yet.

Straight down the other end and Solanke nods half a yard over.

A goal for either side before the break would change the whole picture here.

Cherries on top

Travers hasn't had a save to make and it's the away side still looking the more likely.

Anthony has had a shot that was deflected wide and while the openings otherwise haven't been clear it's a strong showing from Scott Parker's side so far.

Love, love, love

it's 1-0 to the cherries!!!

A brilliant move, slickly taken!

Stacey it was causing the danger down the right, a pin-point cross and full debutant Lowe was gambling and smartly redirected the ball home with an outstretched boot from six yards.

The players all then ran to the afcbTV camera and produced a shirt in support of Brooks, a really lovely moment.

Support for Brooksy from the stands

End of the road for Williams

Zemura skips into space and crosses, though no-one can get a head onto it.

In his wake was City defender Williams, who falls unaccompanied to the turf yards behind Zemura.

That's the end of his afternoon and the hosts are already readying a replacement. Wells will come on in his place.

David Brooks, David David Brooks!

The seventh minute and a rousing rendition comes in support from the away end.

Joined in by the warm applause from the home sections of the stadium.

We're right behind you, Brooksy!

Solanke again threatens

Some bustling player and the striker makes room past the defender by the byline.

Onto his left foot and he shoots, but the effort is smothered away and Lowe can't get a good strike on the follow up.

Best chance yet, that one.

Corner to the Cherries

Lowe wins the set piece and after being taken short it's worked to Christie.

The Scot swerves in a centre but it's over the heads and the 'keeper Bentley is able to gather.

Solanke shoots

But that one trickles wide of the target. Some good build up play down the left, but the striker can't connect properly among a throng of bodies and the first half chance passes.

Up and running

We're into the action at Ashton Gate, the Cherries shooting towards the home supporters in the first half, very loudly backed by the travelling Red Army.

Together as one

Stay strong, Brooksy!

The Cherries players are out to warm up and they're all wearing shorts with 'Brooks 7' emblazoned on the back.

We're also expecting applause from all four sides here at Ashton Gate in the seventh minute, as we all show our support for David Brooks after his diagnosis of Hodgkin Lymphoma earlier this week.

Green... With envy?

A big few days for the Cherries with two away games inside four days.

Also a big week for our green third kit! Our (generally) popular alternate colours get just their second outing today, and we're also expecting them to be in play at Stoke City on Tuesday night.

With a 100% record so far, will the strip be on its way to lucky status by the end of the travels?

Here's how we line up!

Calm before the storm

Where are you following from?

We've got exactly 2,409 Cherries fans coming to the game today and we can't wait to see them cheering the team on at Ashton Gate.

If you're not able to be here, you can listen to live commentary of the game on afcbTV Live in the UK, which costs ยฃ2.50.

An hour until team news...

In just an hour's time we'll have the team sheets and will know the Cherries' first post-international break line-up.

Scott Parker has said this week that Junior Stanislas could be fit enough to be involved after his hamstring injury, while it's a wait and see for Jefferson Lerma who was the last player to return after representing his country.

What can we expect from City?

Welcome to Ashton Gate

We've arrived at the home of the Robins and we're now on the ground and counting down to kick-off.

Can the Cherries regain their Championship top spot after West Brom's win last night? Can we remain unbeaten? All will be revealed across the next few hours...
