Commentary By

We hold on!

A massive, massive win at Vitality Stadium!

One minute left

A long ball forward is hooked clear by Kelly.

GOAL - Bristol City

The visitors have a goal back.

Andreas Weimann fires home from Tommy Conway's cross.

Three minutes to go...

Four minutes added on

Our final change

Scott Parker takes the opportunity to bring off Dominic Solanke, after another superb display.

The Cherries forward receives a standing ovation as Jamal Lowe comes on.

Big chance for Christie

The Scotland international should have our fourth goal.

Solanke holds the ball well and plays in Christie, who is clean through.

He gets his feet mixed up and can only drag his shot wide when he finally gets it off.

Change for Bournemouth

Ben Pearson replaces Jefferson Lerma for the final few minutes.

Great shift from Jeff and he receives a standing ovation.

Siriki Dembele - that is outstanding!

The winger receives the ball on the left flank, beats one player and drives into the middle.

He cuts inside twice, sending defenders to the floor, before driving an effort past Bentley and into the back of the net.

Superb goal!

Change for Bristol City

Robbie Cundy is replaced by Tommy Conway.

There's a big chance for Christie there!

The winger tries to touch it to Solanke but he runs on to his own touch and drives into the area.

He cuts across onto his left foot but can't quite get his shot off and a Bristol City leg stops him from shooting.

He almost makes amends as he holds his area and receives the ball from Zemura, cutting inside on his right foot and firing at goal but it's well blocked.

Great save, Travers!

Few teams have scored more goals than Bristol City on the counter attack this season and they show their ability there.

Dasilva breaks down the left flank and sends in a low cross to Martin in the middle.

He directs it at goal but Travers makes a good save with his legs.

Change for Bournemouth

Siriki Dembele replaces Jaidon Anthony for the final 20 minutes.

His first action is to win a free-kick having been pulled to the ground and Robbie Cundy is booked.

Excellent defending from Cook!

Bristol City have a chance as Martin gets into the area and cuts it back to Dasilva, who is racing into the area.

The left-back fires at goal but Cook has covered loads of ground to get across and make the block.

The Cherries have been excellent but will want that third goal to give themselves some breathing space. Looks like Siriki Dembele might be coming on as a result.

I was about to write that the Cherries haven't opened up Bristol City with the same ease in the last few minutes as the visitors press with more intensity.

As I was typing, Christie turns his defender in the middle of the park and sprays the ball out to Anthony, who is clean through.

His first touch is perhaps too heavy and he tries to lift the ball over Bentley, but the Bristol City man did well to narrow the angle.

Bristol City penalty shout

Martin gets goal-side of Kelly and brings down a long ball nicely.

Kelly does well to recover and puts the Bristol City forward under the pressure, Martin going to ground and calling for a penalty.

The referee has no interest though and waves play on. Would have been soft.

The chef is cooking!

Just wide!

Lewis Cook is playing with loads of confidence here and continues to pick up some great areas.

He receives the ball in space at the edge of the box and decides to have another go - his effort bounces just wide of Bentley's right-hand post.

This is outstanding from the Cherries!

The ball is worked brilliantly on the right and Smith's low cross is poked at goal by Billing.

Bentley does well to make a good stop with his feet and clear the ball away.

Bristol City make a change as Cameron Pring is replaced by Han-Noah Massengo.

For only the second time in his Cherries career, Lewis Cook finds the back of the net!

It comes from a short corner, the ball worked out to the midfielder around 25 yards from goal.

He has plenty of space and decides to take aim, hitting a bouncing effort towards the bottom left corner.

Looks like a defender's swinging leg distracts Bentley and he can't stop it from finding the goal.

Almost our second!

Billing finds Lerma making a run into the area with a beautiful long ball and the Colombian hits it on the volley, forcing a great save from Bentley!

The first chance of the half falls to Dominic Solanke!

The move starts with a superb ball upfield by Phillips, not for the first time this afternoon, and Christie controls it.

The delivery comes in and Solanke gets ahead of his marker at the near post and back-heels it at goal, but its deflected behind for a corner.

The Cherries go even closer as Billing clips a good ball into the area for Lerma.

The Colombian lifts it over the goalkeeper and Solanke strikes at goal, but Atkinson is on the line to make the block.

Back out for the second half

Bristol City kick us off in this second period.

Let's go, lads!

That first-half

Despite being behind for large parts of the first-half, the Cherries have absolutely dominated that first half.

That's shown in the stats so far...

The Cherries have 79% of the possession and have had 12 shots at goal, compared to Bristol City's one.

We've also had eight corners, having conceded just two.

However, the only important statistic is the scoreline and that is level at the break.

We're level at the break!

Robert Atkinson headed Bristol City ahead in the early moments but the Cherries responded really well.

They've had to be patient as they looked to break down an organised Bristol City and got the deserved equaliser through Dominic Solanke.

Two minutes added on

We should be ahead!

Solanke has the chance to grab his second after good interchange with Billing at the edge of the box.

Billing played a nice ball beyond the nearest defender and Solanke was through on goal.

He tries to lift the ball over the onrushing goalkeeper but lacks power and a Bristol City defender hooks the ball away.

The stadium is singing his name though!

No surprise as Dominic Solanke finds the net!

The forward received the ball in the area and appeared to be dragged to the floor.

Nonetheless, he keeps trying to keep the ball and a defender can only poke it away into Christie's path.

He quickly picks out Zemura in space on the left and his pass finds Solanke goal-side, the forward tucking home.

Anthony has counter-attack chance

The Cherries have a rare opportunity on the counter attack as Cook wins a 50/50 in the middle of the park.

Anthony picks it up and drives forward, in a three on three situation.

He could shoot but tries to pick out Solanke and the pass is intercepted.

Christie floating more

The Cherries are seeing a lot of the ball but finding it difficult to break down Bristol City.

As a result, Ryan Christie has taken to floating around the pitch, taking up some central areas.

He's looking to get on the ball as much as possible and try to pick gaps in the City defence.

Solanke is on the end of a heavy foul as he drops into a deeper role to try and link up play.

Plugging away!

The stoppage in play had taken out some of our momentum and it took a couple of minutes for the next opportunity.

It came as Zemura made a good run into space on the left, cutting the ball back to Billing who was arriving in the area.

He attempts to guide his effort into the far right corner, but drags it wide.

Christie dives at it to try and get a toe on to it at the back post but can't reach it.

Break in play

There's a break in play as Adam Smith receives treatment following a collision off the ball.

It allows the opportunity for some instructions to be passed on to the lads.

Smith looks okay to continue too, which is good news.

Bristol City looking compact

The issue for the Cherries at the moment is that Bristol City are defending with a back five.

It's a very flat defensive line too, with support from midfield, which means the Cherries have to rotate constantly in the front-line to try and create areas.

Christie clips in a nice ball towards Billing, who has attempted to run beyond the defence, but it's slightly too heavy for the Dane.

We're going to need to be patient!

We're really going for it

It would be hard to say the Cherries aren't looking dangerous, despite the score-line.

We're getting the ball in good areas, Anthony is seeing a lot of it on the left and we're forcing Bristol City into some desperate clearances with balls into the box.

We'll be frustrated that we're behind and haven't created a clear goalscoring chance yet but the fans are getting right behind the lads as they can see there are good things on display!

Just wide!

The Cherries have an opportunity on the counter.

A Bristol City corner is cleared and Cook drives away towards the half-way line.

He finds Solanke making a bursting run on the right but his pass forces him slightly wide.

He drives into the area, cutting in onto his left foot and fires at goal, a deflection taking it just wide.

From the resulting corners, the Cherries play it short, eventually creating a heading chance for Phillips - his effort is on target but lacks power.

We're keeping the pressure on!

The Cherries haven't let going behind shell shock them and they are working hard to try and get back into it.

We're moving the ball crisply around the area, Bristol City dropping deep when they don't have the ball.

We almost fashion a chance as Billing turns on the left side of the area and drills a low cross into the middle. No-one is there to meet it and Atkinson hooks clear.

That's a good response from the Cherries!

Dominic Solanke drives down the left flank and wins a corner.

The first delivery is floated towards Nat Phillips at the back post. He sends it back across goal and Solanke is there waiting for it, but a defender just touches it behind.

The second corner is short, the Cherries creating space for Anthony to drill a cross into the middle. A Bristol City head meets it at the back post and puts it behind, just past the post.

Lloyd Kelly rises highest from the third corner but he can't keep his header down.

It's been an entertaining game so far but the Cherries are behind.

GOAL - Bristol City

The visitors have the lead.

It's come from the resulting corner as Robert Atkinson powers home a header.

The delivery is good into the box and the defender rises highest, Travers' best attempts not enough to keep it out.

Good defending Phillips!

Bristol City win a free-kick on the right touchline, following a foul from Anthony.

The set-piece is played short to 18-year-old Alex Scott, who whips in a dangerous cross and Phillips has to do well to head it behind.

Excellent start here!

The corner is clever, a floated ball finds Lerma in space at the edge of the area.

He's completely alone and has the time to power a header at goal, but he can't get the accuracy on it and it drops wide of the post.

The Cherries kick us off this afternoon!

It's a bright start too - the Cherries work the ball nicely down the right flank, Billing's clever back-heel finds Smith breaking into the box and the full-back wins a corner.

Here they come!

The two teams are on their way out to the pitch!

The Cherries are in red and black shirts, with black shorts and black socks.

Bristol City are in purple shirts, lime green shorts and white socks.

Kick-off just minutes away...

Getting closer to kick-off

The warm-ups are coming to an end on the pitch as the Cherries players return to the dressing room.

There's a touching moment as a tribute to those in Ukraine goes up on the screen, the crowd joining in applause.

We're just over ten minutes away from kick-off...

Last time out

The Cherries are unchanged from the win over Huddersfield Town before the international break.

Perhaps the most complete performance of the season, Parker was very complimentary of his players after the game.

He said:  "I thought our all-around game was on point. Out of possession we pressed, we hunted the ball. And then in possession, we mixed it up.

"We played through the lines very well, had a good balance about us when to play and when to hit the top line and then be deadly in our chances, which we certainly were.

"I think because it's probably the most recent, Huddersfield was the one that impressed me a lot."

In the building!

The Cherries lads look ready for action!

Jaidon Anthony has had a great season so far, making the second-most appearances of any Cherries player this campaign.

He's netted eight goals and set up five goals in the league - a great total for someone who is in their first season of regular action.

The 22-year-old will be looking to keep up his excellent form and hit double figures this season.

Here's how the Cherries line-up this afternoon...

It's an unchanged starting XI with only Will Dennis in for Freddie Woodman on the bench.

"Now he's got a seaside house..."

Dominic Solanke is a man on form this season, with 24 goals in all competitions.

He was interviewed in this afternoon's programme, MATCHDAY, and revealed which area of his game he's improved the most this season.

He said: "Everything, really. Most of my game mentally and physically has improved. Last year was a difficult year having been relegated but I saw it as an opportunity to get regular game-time and find my rhythm and confidence again.

"I feel I’ve done that and I feel that all parts of my game has improved."

Good afternoon!

We're two hours from kick-off here at Vitality Stadium and the return of Sky Bet Championship action.
