Commentary By

Full time!!!

Our first win of the season, as we take all three points at Villa Park!!

Side netting!!

Wilson plays a square ball to Fraser, who dribbles forward and gets a shot away. It takes a deflection and smashes into the side netting.

Time added on...

The fourth official indicates five minutes injury time.

Digging deep!

Villa change...

Trezeguet goes off and Davis comes on.

Another big chance...

Wilson puts Heaton under pressure and it falls to Solanke. The striker plays it for King, but he can't get the shot away and Villa thump clear.

One on one!!

Superb from Solanke, who holds the ball up for Fraser. The winger races forward and is through on goal, but Heaton makes himself big to save.

Huge chance!

McGinn strikes from range...

The Scotland international drives forward and has a go, but the shot drifts wide.

Putting it in...

King out wide...

As a result of the changes, Solanke has gone up top with Wilson and King has moved out to the right wing.

A couple of changes to bring you...

El Ghazi has gone off, with new signing Jota coming on.

For the Cherries, Solanke is on for Harry Wilson, who has had a fine afternoon.

Good build up play from the Cherries...

Fraser and King combine well, with Wee Man putting one into the box. The Villa defence get there just before Wilson and clear it for a corner.

Villa get one back...

Douglas Luiz hits one into the top corner from outside the box.

End to end!

Grealish plays it in to Trezeguet, who does well to get a shot away, but Ramsdale once again parries it to safety.

On the attack...

Callum Wilson plays a one-two with Harry Wilson, with the former drilling one across the box, but it's just ahead of the onrushing Fraser and King.

Battling hard...

Golden chance for Grealish...

El Mohamady puts a delightful ball into the box and Grealish gets in front of it, but the header sails over from close range.

Yellow for Ake...

The defender tries to play it out of trouble and gets caught. He subsequently fouls his man and picks up a booking.

Incredible block by Cook...

The ball falls to Taylor just yards out on the left, he's ready to smash it home, but Cook does brilliantly to get in the way and divert.

Grealish curls one...

The hosts take a free-kick quickly and the Villa captain races forward, but his shot from range curls just wide of Ramsdale's post.

First use of VAR at Villa Park...

Wesley goes down in the box after supposedly being fouled by Ramsdale. The referee has a check, but the young 'keeper clearly gets to the ball first and no penalty is given.

Back underway!

A big second half coming up...

We've made a change and Surman is on in place of Billing, who was on a yellow card.

Half time!

King and Harry Wilson give the Cherries a two-goal lead, but a superb block from Ake ensured the deficit wasn't halved.

Goal-line clearance from Ake!

Wesley picks out Trezeguet in the box and it looked a certain goal, but there was Ake who put everything (quite litereally) on the line to keep the score at 2-0.

Huge chance!!

Lovely play from the two Wilson's.

Harry eventually receives it in the box and tries to go across Heaton, but the 'keeper gets there. The rebound almost falls to Fraser, but Villa hook it clear just in time.

Side netting!

McGinn at the heart of it for Villa again...

The ball drops to him at least 30 yards out, but the powerful volley hits the side netting... Half of Villa Park thought that was in!

Good move from the Cherries!

Beautiful footwork from Harry Wilson as he skips through the Villa defence. He finds his namesake, Callum, who tees up Billing but the eventual shot sails wide.

Mings looks to clip one forward for El Ghazi, but the flag is immediately raised for offside.

Yellow card for Billing...

The Dane gets himself in the book after a foul in the middle of the park.

Superb from Lerma!

The ball drops to McGinn again in the box, but Lerma gets himself in the way and boots it out.

Another chance for Harry Wilson...

Daniels plays a great ball deep into the box and the Wales international is there, but his first-time volley fails to test Heaton and it goes for a goal-kick.

Ramsdale there again...

Wesley receives the ball in the box and manages to turn, but once again Ramsdale is there divert the danger.

From the result corner, Daniels does superbly to head away under pressure.

McGinn almost pounces...

A superb save from Ramsdale as McGinn looked to be in on goal, but the young shot-stopper does well to palm away and clear.

Cherries applying pressure...

King plays the ball to Callum Wilson on the right, who drills one into the box. It rebounds off a Villa player and narrowly misses the bottom corner of the goal.

Free-kick for Villa

The hosts win a free-kick right on the edge of the area and El Ghazi steps up to take it, but it sails over Ramsdale's bar for a goal-kick.

A first Cherries goal for Harry Wilson...

There's a debut goal!!!

Villa lose possession cheaply and it falls to Harry Wilson, who strikes one from range. The shot takes a big deflection off Mings and beats Heaton.

Villa with another effort...

Another chance for McGinn, this time the forward having a go from 30 yards, but Ramsdale gets fingertips to it and it the danger is averted.

Chance for Villa...

Villa have a free-kick out on the right, with McGinn looking to whip one in, but Callum Wilson is there to head away!

There's the opener!

King sends Heaton the wrong way and we're a goal to the good!

It took just 46 seconds for the penalty to be awarded, with Villa yet to touch the ball!

Callum Wilson is taken down in the box by Heaton and it will be King to take!

Ryan Fraser gets us started...

Let's go, lads!!

The teams are out...

Steve Cook leads us out and kick-off is imminent.

Stay right here for all the updates!

Warm ups done!

We're just ten minutes from kick-off and the teams will be making their way into the tunnel shortly.

Fun fact!

The two clubs are in the same division together for only the fourth season.

Howe on his team selection...

“Harry Wilson has done well in the limited time he has been with us and has impressed in training, so hopefully he goes well today. We have to improve in every area from last week.”

Team news is in!

A debut for Harry Wilson, while Charlie Daniels also comes into the starting line up.

Diego Rico and Chris Mepham drop to the bench, as we change to a 4-4-2 formation.

Wilson on fire...

Callum Wilson has scored four goals and set up another four in his last five away games in the Premier League.

Stat alert!

In the only two Premier League fixtures between AFC Bournemouth and Aston Villa, the away side has always won.

This includes the last time both teams met, where the Cherries won 2-1 at Villa Park in April 2016.

Howe's thoughts...

Eddie Howe was full of praise for Dean Smith and his backroom staff in yesterday's press conference.
