FULL TIME

If we take those two chances, this could have been a different game.

However, a tough defeat at Wembley as Christian Eriksen, Heung-Min Son x2, Harry Kane and Lucas Moura ensure another Boxing Day defeat for us.

We'll bring you all the reaction on afcbTV shortly. Thanks for following - hopefully we can put things right against Man United.

See you soon, enjoy the rest of your Boxing Day.

90'

Another good chance...

A lovely cross from Steve Cook reaches Stanislas at the back post - he's unmarked but his left-footed drive is wide at the near.

Really good chance, I would say the least we deserve is a consolation!

90'

Close from Rico...

Just as the official indicates four minutes of added time, Rico smashes a volley!

It's technically a great hit from Lerma's long raking pass but it's just wide of the goal!

Almost a superb consolation...

81'

Great effort from Daniels...

An immensely struck half volley from Daniels flies just wide from the edge!

That is so unlucky, a simply superb effort from the full-back.

No goal for us still though here.

76'

Penalty appeal waved away...

From here it looked a certain penalty for us.

Stanislas got the ball in a dangerous area and looked set to score!

But the defender turned his back on the ball and it hit his arm - it looked like he was set to score too!

Kane has just this second gone off as well for youngster for Oliver Skipp.

73'

Final change for us...

Brooks is the one to make way - he's put in a real hard shift today.

Joshua King comes on now and it looks like he'll play on the right for the time being - I'd expect him to go up front though when he can.

70'

5-0 here...

Kane got in behind Ake in the box which causes havoc, Rose misses the rebound before Moura smashes a low one, Begovic had to react and tipped it away!

The tip though, ricocheted through to Son who was able to tap in.

That was frantic, but Spurs have a fifth.

70'

GOAL for Spurs.

Son makes it 5-0.

69'

Close from Mousset!

Another chance!!

Rico wings in a beautiful delivery and Mousset makes a clever run, he nods it JUST wide of the left post though - so close!!

66'

Second sub for us..

With Man United in mind we guess, Wilson makes way just after the hour with Lys Mousset coming on to replace him.

66'

Close!

Nearly a goal for Stanislas!

Some good counter attacking play reaches the winger in the box!

He settles the ball down on his left side, drills a low one but two Spurs defenders hurl themselves at the ball to block - it looked on target at the very least!

60'

That's surely enough now...

Christian Eriksen has dinked a ball over the top for Kane and it's simply world class.

Kane finishes in the area and Spurs are 4-0 up. Not a good day for us.

61'

Harry Kane scores...

4-0 here.

Kane slots in.

54'

GOAL RULED OUT FOR OFFSIDE!

Good play again!

We switch it wide for Diego Rico, who drills in a great cross and Stanislas is there to slide in the finish but the flag was up as soon as he hit it.

He is quite a way offside too, but we do look good when we get the ball.

Encouraging.

46'

Penalty appeal waved away!

Good start!

Fraser whips a ball in behind for Wilson to chase - he gets the wrong side and Juan Foyth uses his body to get in front!

Not sure about that, Foyth was strong in the tackle but Wilson was the wrong side.

Either way, on the front foot to begin the interval!

45'

Back underway...

We have created chances, could one of the greatest comebacks in history be on!?

Follow us to find out, click LISTEN LIVE for radio commentary from Wembley.

No changes at the break.

HT

HALF TIME

After missing two glorious chances, we went behind through Christian Eriksen's deflected goal.

Heung-Min Son scored a second before Lucas Moura added a third.

Simon Francis has unfortunately been stretchered off after landing awkwardly in an innocous

The scoreline may be slightly harsh, but either way, we're 3-0 down at the break and have it all to do.

45'

Great save!!

Lloris got down low to keep it out!

We worked a brilliant short corner across the pitch and eventually Fraser crosses for Daniels in the middle!

He nods it well but Lloris got down low to tip it away!

Superb save.

45'

Lerma is booked...

That's his ninth booking at the campaign.

Lucas Moura had got in behind on the right, Lerma tangled legs with the Brazilian but couldn't pull out of the tackle.

Booked - that was his first foul.

45'

Not good for us at all...

Really unfortunate, Francis gets his foot stuck in the ground and immediately went down in pain.

There was no contact, he just turned awkwardly and is stretchered off.

Sad for the skipper, but also the fact that both him and Adam Smith are injured now, leaving us quite short at right-back.

Diego Rico replaces him, a sad sight to see all the medical staff around Francis who is stretchered off.

Clapped off though by the Spurs fans, a nice touch but not a nice moment for us or the Captain. We'll update you when we can.

41'

Unlucky!

Two more great chances for us!

The first, Brooks and Stanislas work it superbly with the latter swinging a brilliant cross with the outside of his boot to the back post!

It's an inch away from Wilson in the box!

The rebound falls to Fraser on the far side and whips in a brilliant ball to the waiting Stanislas in the area, but his header from eight-yards centrally was straight at Lloris!

Two more big moments for us there!

39'

First save for Lloris...

Brooks does superbly and whips a ball out wide to Stanislas. He drives into the area and drills a low one to the near post, but birthday boy Huge Lloris is alert and makes a save.

Still a long time to go here - hopefully we can make something else happen after the formation change.

37'

It looks like we've shifted formation...

It's taken a third goal for Spurs to launch the stadium into any kind of voice.

We have made a tweak to the system and it looks like we're three at the back now.

Fraser is at right-wing back with Francis,  Nathan Ake and Steve Cook the trio of centre-halves.

Brooks and Stanislas are playing quite close to Callum Wilson up top. Hopefully this can have a positive change!

35'

Well, that is probably that...

To be fair, Spurs did work that goal well.

They shift it wide to Walker-Peters, cut the ball back to the waiting Lucas Moura who smashed it in in the area.

A hat-trick of assists for Walker-Peters...

34'

3-0 Spurs...

Lucas Moura scores this time.

30'

Half an hour played...

You could seriously hear a pin drop here.

A very weird atmosphere in a very weird game in which Spurs are 2-0 up - it on us to chase them now.

Those two goals have knocked the stuffing out of us temporarily but we're comfortable in our shape and Spurs don't look too threatening.

23'

Son curls in...

Kyle Walker-Peters nicks it high up the pitch and finds Son on the edge of the box.

In fairness to him, he curls a superb effort directly into the bottom right corner out of Begovic's reach.

We've really been punished by missing those two early chances.

2-0 to the hosts who haven't had to work very hard for their lead.

23'

2-0 Spurs...

Just as we say that, Heung-Min Son scores. Frustrating!

20'

The fans are getting right behind the team...

Nonny leading the Red Army chant!

The fans will be impressed by what they've seen so far, a harsh deflection after two superb chances - we haven't started badly at all.

A shame about the goal, but we're still more than a match for Spurs so far.

16'

Deflected and in...

A huge deflection hands Spurs the lead.

Pretty harsh - Eriksen shot from 25-yards, it took a massive deflection off Lerma and sent Begovic the wrong way - 1-0 Spurs against the run of play.

It shows how crucial it is to take your chances at this level!

16'

GOAL for Spurs...

After two absolutely fantastic opportunities, Spurs score through Christian Eriksen.

14'

Another chance!!

What a pass by Jefferon Lerma from deep! SUBLIME!

He drifts a brilliant pass over the top for David Brooks who gets in behind and one-on-one!

The ball bounces and he tries to chip the 'keeper but couldn't make clean contact!

Two huge chances in two minutes!!

13'

A Great chance!!!

Lovely move!

Simon Francis bombed on down the right hand side and got in behind the backline!

Stretching, he dinks a cross to the backpost where both Fraser and Junior Stanislas are waiting!

They get in each other's way eight-yards out and Fraser's header hits Stanislas! That is a glorious opening for us!!

10'

Still nothing to report!

We're not being lazy!

The atmosphere in the ground is so so quiet too!

We do look at home on the Wembley turf though. 0-0.

05'

Opening five minutes...

And there's nothing really to report.

We're not in trouble but we aren't threatening massively.

We've worked the ball into some good areas around the final third but haven't penetrated the Spurs defence yet.

It's a very quiet atmosphere in the ground so far, everyone might be nursing a Christmas hangover!

01'

We're underway!

Ryan Fraser kicks us off... A big performance required here - follow us to see if we can deliver!

14:38

Head to head...

Our record against Spurs has been well documented.

We haven't beaten them ever in the league, with all of the meetings taking place since our promotion to the Premier League.

We've lost five and drawn once... but our only win against them ever was back in February 1957 - that was our inaugural meeting with them.

Hopefully a win today could upset those records!

14:22

Well said, skipper!

It's Simon Francis' turn to take on the pre-match Premier League interview ahead of this one.

The skipper had this to say to...

"The Brighton result and performance on Saturday was massive for us. Today is a really tough game though. We have to get our game plan right and perform to our top levels, but we have confidence and will go out there and enjoy it."

No fear!

14:12

All set!

14:08

One to watch...

It doesn't take a genius to say Harry Kane!

But his record against us is unfortunately, superb.

The England captain has six goals in five Premier League appearances against us, let's hope we can stop him from adding to that today!

14:00

The team is in!

Joshua King is the only change from the win against Brighton.

He drops to the bench, we'll find out if that's an injury or not.

We're not sure on the system either, it could be five at the back with Ryan Fraser as a wing back but again, we'll find that out.

But here's the team for Spurs!

Begovic; Francis, S Cook, Ake, Daniels; Brooks, Lerma, Surman, Fraser; Stanislas; Wilson.

13:38

Boxing Day blues?

Well, we haven't won a Boxing Day game since 2009!

That was an away win over Cheltenham Town back in League Two, where Liam Feeney scored in the 57th minute.

But the hosts on the other hand, have an excellent record the day after Christmas.

In their past ten home Boxing Day Premier League home matches, they have won seven and drawn three.

So the omens don't look too good, but these stats and records are there to be broken!

13:29

The stage is set!

13:14

How are Spurs looking ahead of this one?

Well, they're on fire.

Spurs have won 11 of their past 13 league fixtures and over the entirety of 2018, they have 26 wins in total. They've only ever won more in 2017 and 1960!

They battered Everton as well before Christmas, winning 6-2 away from home with Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane both looking at their lethal best.

Mauricio Pochettino's men could also set a Premier League record today - 19 games without a draw from the beginning of a season.

12:56

Four could be a magic number for us...

There are two stats that could be broken today involving the number four, one good one bad!

A Cherries win at Wembley would match the entire tally of four away wins in total which was achieved last season.

A good record to break - but we could also equal our unenviable club record of four away defeats in a row in the top flight.

Hopefully the first stat is earned today!
