FULL TIME

Not the result we wanted of course, but what a team Liverpool are at times.

They played well today and restricted us, but of course we have to be better.

Liverpool were superb at times but we look ahead to Wolves in two weeks time.

Thank you very much for following, your support is much appreciated - hopefully we'll bring you a better result in two weeks. See you then!

90'

Solanke goes close!!

Great effort!

He beat Robertson really well and drove a superb low shot just wide of the far post.

Great technique, really unlucky!

89'

Big save by Boruc!

Trent Alexander-Arnold gets in behind our defence and goes clean through on goal.

He has plenty of time - like Firmino did earlier - to be able to pick his spot, but Boruc does really well to deny him with two magnificent hands to the ball.

86'

What a chance for Firmino...

They counter on us with unbelievable pace, Firmino goes clean through on goal and has 25-yards to think about where he's going to put it!

Virgil van Dijk is the player running alongside him somehow, but Firmino goes for goal and hits a low tame effort which Boruc saves to his left.

Should be four.

86'

Decent opening...

Surman swings a cross high into the middle - Mousset chests it down but the rebound JUST won't fall to Solanke and Liverpool hash it clear.

80'

A second Premier League appearance...

Chris Mepham comes on now for Diego Rico.

Mepham will play at centre-back along with Steve Cook, Nathan Ake has now been shifted to left-back.

Ten minutes to go here.

80'

Great block by Smith...

So close to 4-0 Liverpool, but for Adam Smith.

Salah fed Firmino inside the box, with the Brazilian taking a touch to set himself before Smith flung himself at it to make a brilliant block.

The rebound fell to Keita in a great area in the box but he blasted it well over. Close.

78'

Save by Alisson!

Mousset gets a bit of room on the right and crashes a ferocious effort at goal!

It might be creeping in at the near post but Alisson makes sure with a smart save.

Really good effort by Mousset!

76'

Off the bar...

Salah rattles the bar after another brilliant flick from Firmino.

It was on his favoured side across the 'keeper, but it smashes the bar and goes out.

Should have been four.

72'

Second sub for us...

Lys Mousset will come on now for Jefferson Lerma.

Lerma has just come back from an ankle injury so that might be a wise move.

So it looks like King and Fraser will play wide and Solanke and Mousset through the middle.

The manager would have it no other way, going for it!

68'

8 x 8

65'

25 minutes left here...

Any sting has gone out of the game as Liverpool keep the ball, without really penetrating our backline.

It's almost as if they've taken their foot off the gas now they are three goals to the good.

There's not really much to update from you on at the moment!

61'

Joel Matip is booked...

Sarcastic applause from the Cherries fans.

Matip simple clattered Fraser well after the ball had gone. Poor challenge, definite yellow.

59'

Our first sub...

Jordon Ibe makes way for Dominic Solanke.

Both of whom get a nice ovation from the Liverpool fans.

It looks like for the time being, Solanke joins King up top with Gosling wide right, Fraser wide left.

55'

Absolute sitter for Mane...

Should be 4-0.

Wijnaldum dinks the perfect ball to the back post and Mane is completely unmarked - somehow though he heads it wide of the far post with the goal gaping.

A let off for us there.

48'

Devastating...

To be fair, it's absolutely brilliant touch from Firmino.

He backheels the ball to Salah in the area on his right foot, and the second the ball reached him, you knew it was a goal.

He curled it into the bottom corner, and unfortunately that's probably game over for us.

48'

GOAL for Liverpool.

Mo Salah scores.

45'

Back underway...

Can we do something special here?

Well hopefully we can, we'll keep you posted as Liverpool kick us off.

HT

HALF TIME

Well, we started very positively but towards the end of the half, Liverpool showed their world-class capabilities.

A goal from Sadio Mane was followed up by a strike from Georgino Wijnaldum and we're two down at the break.

We'll need something special in the second-half, stick with us here to see if we can perform the unthinkable!

44'

Great save Boruc...

A sweeping Liverpool move eventually sees the ball bounce for Salah on the volley on the edge of the box.

He races onto it, smashes a high one, it looks like it could be a great goal but for Boruc's hand.

Really good stop again by our 'keeper.

43'

Battling to try and create something...

37'

Adam Smith booked...

He dives into a challenge with Naby Keita and is booked - rightfully so.

Despite the scoreline the lads are giving it their all to try and wrestle a way back into the game.

34'

A chip of the highest order...

We give the ball away cheaply and Andrew Roberston dinks a ball over the top for Wijnaldum in the area.

He still has a lot to do but pulls out a sublime chip with the outside of his boot over Boruc into the corner.

It's an outrageous finish but we'll look at the giveaway that started the move.

2-0 down here, all to do.

34'

GOAL for Liverpool.

Wijnaldum scores.

32'

Huge chance for 2-0...

In all fairness it's an absolute peach of a pass from Joel Matip.

From centre-back he zings one with his laces through to Firmino who had made a devastating run in between full-back and centre-back.

He brought it down one on one but Boruc was again VERY alert to rush out and smother it. Solid save, and important that we don't go 2-0 down.

29'

A positive performance from this man so far...

28'

Big chance for Liverpool...

They counter on us really well in all fairness and Firmino slots Georginio Wijnaldum in behind our defence.

He's got a great shooting opportunity, but instead of hitting it he decides to square it to Salah who completely fluffs it.

A bit of a let off there for us - they were lightning quick on the break.

25'

Rico booked...

Definite yellow card.

It's a late foul on James Milner in the full back area, first booking of the game. He'll have to be careful now.

24'

A free header...

We defend a corner really well, but the second phase kills us.

The ball gets swept back out to Milner who swings in a delivery and Mane is there in the box free to nod it into the net.

We're a goal down here - all to do but we have shown promise.

24'

GOAL for Liverpool.

Sadio Mane scores.

22'

Not listening live?

Well, you should be!

We've shown plenty of promise in these last ten minutes or so, with King JUST out of position for a Fraser cross that was threatening!

We're not on top but we are looking threatening ourselves going forward.

17'

A good spell!

We beat Liverpool's press and Jordon Ibe beats three players and gets in behind!

He's looked very lively so far, we can't fashion it into a clear chance but Liverpool were on the back foot there.

Positive signs from us, we just need to show composure in our play on the ball at the back as Liverpool press.

15'

So close after just a minute...

12'

Save by Boruc!

A lovely pass by Sadio Mane gets Roberto Firmino in behind the defence in the box.

Artur Boruc sniffs out the danger though, rushing off his line forcing the Brazilian to try a chip, which the Pole gathers.

Really good alert keeping there, probably the second best chance of the game so far. Liverpool's best though.

10'

First decent opening for Liverpool...

It comes through of course, Mo Salah.

He does his trademark, shifts it onto his left foot from the right hand side, trying to caress it into the far corner.

He strikes it but it whizzes well over. That's the first real time Liverpool have really threatened our penalty box though, Steve Cook and Nathan Ake have been solid so far.

05'

A confident start...

We've forced the first save with that great chance for Fraser, but Liverpool have settled and are having most of the play.

We're sitting solid in our shape though and they haven't penetrated our back line yet. A composed start from us.

01'

Save by Alisson!

Great start!

A lovely composed move sees us break quickly and get Fraser in on the left!

He gets in the area and curls a really good effort towards the bottom corner, bu Alisson does well to claw it away!

Unlucky - that would have put the cat amongst the pigeons!

01'

Let's go!

Ryan Fraser kicks us off, the atmosphere is electric here!

A shock if we won for sure, but we do have the ability in the side!

Let's go!

Both sets of players are in the tunnel...

Come on lads!

This game feels very different, you can feel the expectancy of the Liverpool fans - they NEED a result today.

But so do we, and it promises to be a great encounter!

We've lost seven Premier League away games in a row, but today would be a great day to thwart that run!

14:27

Head to head...

I think it goes without saying that our head to head record with Liverpool isn't the best, we've only been in the Premier League four years!

But either way, they're unbeaten against us at Anfield, earming five wins and a draw in all competitions.

Our only win against Liverpool was that famous home win in December 2016, when Nathan Ake scored a last minute winner in one of the best ever Premier League games of all time.

14:15

More news from the boss on Junior Stanislas and Charlie Daniels...

14:14

"We have to be very good today."

The manager has just completed his pre-match media duties and is in a buoyant mood.

He understands the task at hand, but is eager for the team to put last week's Cardiff defeat behind them.

“We have to be very good today. We know how good Liverpool are, especially at home, and we have to defend very well and make our chances count. We have to be the team that played Chelsea.”

14:11

One to watch...

Everyone will be looking at Mo Salah's record in recent weeks and in particular, against us.

He's scored five goals in three league appearances against us, including a hat-trick at Vitality Stadium last year.

But Sadio Mane's form has gone under the radar recently, he could score in four consecutive Premier League matches in a single season for the first time.

14:06

Two of our own...

Good to see these lads on the bench today!

Two fantastic prospects straight from the academy, Sam Surridge and Kyle Taylor!

14:05

Did you know?

It's a lone striker role for Joshua King today, but he's been in great form of late.

The frontman has scored three times in his last three Premier League games, could the Norwegian prove the difference today?

14:00

TEAM NEWS

Jefferson Lerma passes his fitness test - he's in!

Elsewhere, Charlie Daniels is missing from the squad, we'll find out why from the manager.

Diego Rico earns his first Premier League appearance of 2019 while Jordon Ibe also starts out wide.

Cherries XI: Boruc; Smith, S Cook, Ake, Rico; Ibe, Lerma, Gosling, Surman, Fraser; King.

13:40

Team news...

Is 20 minutes away.

The manager revealed we're still without Callum Wilson and David Brooks for roughly four weeks which is a big blow.

We could have Jefferson Lerma back to full fitness, but there will be a late call on whether to start him as he had an ankle injury.

For Liverpool,  Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum and Trent Alexander-Arnold have all returned to training but Dejan Lovren won't play.

13:21

Jamie Redknapp is expecting a close game...

As part of our Media View story on afcb.co.uk, we spoke to Jamie Redknapp - who played for both us and Liverpool - about what we can expect from today's game.

Here's a snippet of what he had to say on what could prove to be a nervy game for the Reds.

"Bournemouth are going to Anfield with not a lot to lose and games like this can sometimes be the hardest ones.

"When I was trying to win the title with Liverpool, we lost at home to Coventry in one of our final few games of the season.

"They were a really good side and we were incredibly nervous because Liverpool hadn’t won the title for a while.

"The pressure is probably even greater now and, if Liverpool want to win the title, they are going to have to beat a very confident Bournemouth team."

12:58

A big task...

Despite two consecutive Premier League draws, Liverpool are still in imperious form.

They're on a club Premier League record run of 33 consecutive home matches without defeat and have won eight of their past nine league games at Anfield.

Liverpool also have 62 points so far this season - that's the second highest in the club's history after 25 games of a season.

A massive ask for us against such a good side, but we are good enough to always get something against anyone!

12:46

Welcome...

We know we've got you all behind us today, but we've also got Manchester City fans supporting us as we arrive at Anfield this afternoon!

It's a big game in the Premier League and for us, it gives the club the opportunity to record our first ever win away to Liverpool.

For us, it's also a chance to arrest our recent wretched away run.

A tough one, but what a result it would be if we can get it! Join us live from Merseyside with these text updates, or click LISTEN LIVE at approximately 2.30pm to hear every kick.
