FULL TIME

Good stuff!

We're in the hat for the next round and it was comprehensive.

The only negative was that Mousset hobbled off, but he got his goal to get us going, before further strikes from Fraser - who looked excellent again - and Ibe's late rocket.

Of course as well, we got to see Lerma and Rico - both looked good.

A great night of football for all to see, thanks for following our updates!

We'll see you next at Stamford Bridge!

91'

90: Gloss added!

Great goal!

Ibe gets the ball on the edge, this time he drives down towards his left and hits a firm left-footed effort in at the near post.

It was too powerful for the impressive Nicholls, lovely strike and a nice cherry on top (look, we know it's a poor pun!)

61'

GOALLL!

Moments after forcing a save, Ibe scores!!

61'

90: Save!

Nicholls again with a smart stop!

Just as the board goes up to say three minutes of added time, Ibe gets the ball on the edge of the area. He shifts it left before speedily touching the ball out of his feet to give himsefl half a yard.

He curls one towards the bottom corner, it's a really good effort but it's clawed out by the 'keeper well!

61'

86: Half a chance!

Ibe runs down the left wing and shows great pace to beat his man.

He drives into a good crossing position, hammers it across the face and Brooks gets a touch but can't get it on target under pressure from a Dons defender.

Good play by Ibe!

61'

85: Final sub...

Not a lot has happened in the last five minutes.

We're seeing the game out with ease but David Brooks is now on, he replaces Defoe.

61'

Looking good in red and black...

61'

75: 15 to play...

A good night's work here.

We've enjoyed the ball for the majority of the game and look comfortable heading into the final period of the game.

To the 1000 new fans who joined us, they must be enjoying what they see!

61'

68: Second sub...

It's a forced one.

Steve Cook comes on for goalscorer Mousset.

It's a forced one as the Frenchman hobbled off with an injury. That means we'll play as a back five, with Francis and Rico wing backs and a trio in the heart of the defence of Mings, Simpson and Cook.

61'

65: First sub for us...

Another brilliant shift from Fraser, not just as an attacking threat but his reactions when the ball gets turned over.

He's replaced by King, it looks like he'll will play behind Defoe and Mousset.

Not a bad front three!

61'

Get stuck in!

61'

62: Cargill comes off...

To a really nice reception frmo the fans.

Even the manager is clapping him in the dugout.

Lovely stuff all round!

HT

58: Save!

So close!

Seconds after Rico wallops the bar, Lerma picks it up 25-yards out and is urged to shoot.

He obliges, curling a beauty towards the bottom right corner - it looks destined to go in from here in the press box - but Nicholls AGAIN gets down low to claw it away!

Superb effort, another superb save!

HT

57: Off the bar!!

Rico almost gets a  debut goal!

A free-kick on the edge of the box... he absolutely hammers it!

It cannons off the bar and to safety! Great strike!

HT

These two have looked good tonight!

HT

52: Great ball!

A deft ball over the top by Lerma seeks out Fraser running in behind.

It's a lovely ball and it's almost perfect for the Scot, but Nicholls is alert and just gets there in front of Weeman.

Almost a gaping opportunity!

HT

48: Close!

Another flowing move!

Rico and Mousset combine again down this left-hand side and we eventually work it into the box to Fraser.

He tries to manipulate a volley into far-right corner but it flies narrowly wide of the right-post.

Unlucky, we've started the half with the same intent of the first 45.

HT

46: Back underway...

Defoe gets us going for the second half.

Hopefully another dominant half for us to enjoy, but you never know!

Both teams unchanged.

HT

HALF TIME

A really good half.

We've played well, got two goals and no real threat from MK.

Mousset got us going before Fraser added a second.

Good stuff all round - we'll see you back here in 15 minutes.

15'

40: Almost three!

Mousset and Ibe combine!

The Frenchman threads the ball through wide for Ibe, and Nicholls hesitates to come out and Ibe looks set to get the ball one-on-one wide with a stranded 'keeper!

But somehow the Dons defender gets back to avert what would be a really threatening area!

15'

Best mates!

15'

36: Smashed in!

We break so well and Lerma and Ibe combine on the right.

Ibe sprints down the wing like a man possessed, so quick, his cross is blocked but it's diverted into the path of Fraser who lashes it in with his left foot on the volley! Really composed finish!

You'll probably all be bored of me saying he is sharp, but he is taking the game by the scruff of the neck! I'll have to right click and use synonyms now...

15'

GOALLL!

The sharpest man on the pitch, Ryan Fraser scores!
15'

Mousset's first of the season!

15'

28: Save!

Vintage Defoe!

Cook picks the ball up from deep and threads him in slightly wide of goal.

He's still in the box and it has to be taken first time, which Defoe does.

It's typically well struck and he tries to catch the 'keeper out at the near post, but Nicholls again thwarts us with a smart save.

15'

25: The game has calmed down...

After a really positive start from us, getting the goal, it's quietened down as MK have settled after the storm.

We're still on the front foot, still passing with tempo and vigour, but the visitors are starting to retain the ball more when they have it.

The crowd are in good voice behind each goal as we hunt for a second.

15'

The first of many in red and black!

15'

16: Save!!

Lee Nicholls with another superb stop!

It's from Mousset who's just scored, Fraser again involved!

The Scot steams down the right-wing, finds a clever cut-back which the Frenchman deftly volleys.

It's going into the far corner but Nicholls at full stretch tips it away! Another brilliant move, matched by a superb save.

15'

15: Lovely finish!

Fraser - so sharp - plays a pass and releases Mousset in the box, he takes two touches and hones in on the 'keeper, putting it through his legs!

A muted celebration, but a good goal!

1-0!

15'

GOALLL!

Lys Mousset opens the scoring!!!

15'

15: Deflected wide...

Half a chance for MK.

Alex Gilbey gets forward and tries his luck from 25-yards.

It's powerful and takes a nick, with Boruc stretching it goes narrowly wide.

Not too far away...

19:56

09: Great pass!

Unlucky!

Mousset and Rico combine really well on the left, before the defender plays a brilliant ball in between lines for Fraser in the area!

A brilliant ball, and Fraser almost makes it into a major chance as he flashes a ball across the box, but it's well blocked.

All us here, MK are struggling to keep hold of the ball.

19:54

08: Save!

Brilliant effort - almost a screamer!

He's full of confidence, and Fraser gets the ball 25-yards and has no hesitation in pulling the trigger.

It's a wonderful effort, it swerves and dips and is at a good height, but Lee Nicholls in net makes a brilliant save to tip it over.

Fraser looks so sharp!

19:53

07: Early sighter for Defoe...

A good move!

Lerma plays an incisive ball to Fraser and he sets Defoe on his way.

The striker heads towards the area but smashes a left-footed strike early, it flashes just wide!

19:50

05: A couple of touches for Lerma...

Some neat ones in the middle of the pitch, and he's just blazed one over!

He's been frequently involved so far. We've dominated the ball in the opening exchanges and we look the more likely.

Still goalless though, but not a bad start.

19:45

01: We are underway...

MK Dons get us underway here and we'll attack towards the Colmar Construction Ted MacDougall Stand.

Come on lads!

19:43

The players are out...

Both sets of teams are out of the tunnel and onto the pitch.

We're joined by 1000 new fans here tonight, who have never been to Vitality Stadium before.

Lovely stuff! Let's hope the're in for a treat tonight. A reminder, there's no live audio commentary, these text updates are the only place to be!

19:33

Some Carabao Cup records...

We've won our last eight cup matches (FA Cup and League Cup) against League Two opponents - the most recent one of these was agaonst Morecambe in the Carabao Cup in August 2016.

MK Dons however, have lost their last two meetings with Premier League opposition since beating Manchester United 4-0 in that famous win back in 2014/15.

19:27

Bravery...

18:56

One to watch for MK...

It has to be Baily Cargill.

A big welcome back to him! He's been chatting with our lads in the tunnel and hopefully he receives a good reception tonight.

"It will be weird to be on the other side, wearing the other team's kit, particularly as it's come around so soon!" he told our matchday programme editor.

Hopefully it's not TOO happy a return though!

18:50

TEAM NEWS

Ten changes.

Ryan Fraser plays and is the only player to play against both Everton and MK Dons.

The big news is the two full debuts for Diego Rico and Jefferson Lerma!

The first glimpse of them in action tonight!

18:16

What to expect from MK Dons?

Relegated from League One last season, the Dons brought in Paul Tisdale as manager ahead of the campaign and have made a fine start, unbeaten in their five games so far.

They also upset the odds by beating Charlton from the league above to set up tonight's second round match.

They are expected to name a strong side for their trip to Dorset.

17:52

The last time we played MK Dons...

We were in a very different state of affairs!

It was in League One at Stadium:MK, and we ran out 3-0 winners in 2013 when the club earned promotion.

Who remembers it!?

Lewis Grabban opened the scoring just before the ten minute mark, before other strikes from Harry Arter and Marc Pugh rounded off the scoring.

Pugh could also feature tonight for the Cherries.

17:47

Team news...

The manager did confirm that Jefferson Lerma would start for us this evening.

We're all excited about that!

He also hinted that Diego Rico would start alongside him, as people in the squad are to be given a chance to impress.

We're expecting wholesale changes tonight - an interesting one for the manager and good to see some gametime across the squad.

The team will be announced an hour before kick-off.

17:38
