Our first ever Premier League opening day win! Lovely stuff!
Ryan Fraser's first-half strike set us on our way, before Callum Wilson's late second sealed the win for us!
Good start, onto West Ham next week. Thanks for following and listening wherever you are in the world, and we'll catch up next week for the Hammers game.
Up the Cherries!
80'
90: Double sub for us...
Probably to kill a bit of time.
Smith comes off for Defoe and Wilson, the second goalscorer makes way for Mousset.
Huge reception for both!
80'
90: GET IN THERE!!!
Wilson scores!!!
Francis does really well on the right-hand side, beats his man and squares it for Wilson who converts expertly into the bottom corner inside the area!
Lovely finish, surely game, set match!
80'
GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!
WILSONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!
80'
90: Into added time...
Five minutes of it!
Mainly probably for Steve Cook's injury.
80'
86: Cook takes a wallop...
But he's OK.
He's been a colossus at the back and he's won another header but gets flattened by Morrison.
It looks nasty but he's OK and back up thankfully!
80'
Final five...
80'
82: Decent opening!
Wilson causing problems!
He crosses from the right in towards King - he brings it down for Fraser.
It's a similar position to where he scored against Everton last season, but he blazes over.
We've clawed our way back into the ascendancy.
45'
78: CHANCE!
Wilson gets in behind at an angle and it looks like he's going to shoot and drill it across the 'keeper - but instead he pulls it back for King but the defender nicks it away as he looks set to score!
Close! Surely would've killed the game!
45'
Into the final 15 we go...
45'
70: The place is a little nervous...
Cardiff are getting more of the ball as the game wears on.
They're on top at the moment, we're having to defend sharply to deal with their aerial threat.
They haven't created anything clear cut but we're clinging on with some brilliant defensive headers - Cook and Ake have been superb.
45'
66: First sub...
Probably as a result of Cardiff's tactics, Brooks comes off for Francis.
A wise move as they pelter balls into the area.
It looks like Smith will be a right winger with Francis now right back, same system as it stands.
45'
65: Begovic with a top save!!
Cardiff plough another ball into the box and it's a high swerving one which is difficult to deal with.
Morrison wins it, the rebound is bobbling all over the place and Morrison gets onto it again in the six-yard box, it looks a certain goal but Begovic claws it away to safety!
45'
A much more even game now...
45'
61: Great chance!!!
Brooks almost scores!!
Weeman skins his man down the left and Brooks is completely unmarked at the back post!
The Scot's cross is drilled and Brooks can't head it into the empty net!
Huge chance, unlucky!
45'
59: Chance for Cardiff...
Probably the closest they've come.
Hoilett gets the ball out wide and puts in a cross. Reid controls and Paterson snatches eight-yards out, it's going in but Ake reads it to block. Good defending, Cardiff having a tiny spell here.
45'
55: Still all us...
The fans behind the goal are well behind the team, almost trying to urge the team to remain offensive.
Still dominating the ball, Cardiff are again very happy to sit and try to counter with direct balls.
No sign of any subs either for us - probably because it's going well so far.
45'
48: Started the half well...
We've pinned Cardiff into their own half here.
We're passing the ball around the edge of the box and Daniels has just had a low effort well blocked.
Cardiff can't get out at the moment.
33'
46: Back underway...
A big half awaits for the boys!
Brooks gets us underway in the rain here on the south coast.
An early second-half goal for us would be a delight!
33'
HALF TIME
We're a goal up, thanks to Ryan Fraser's finish in the penalty area.
It could have been two but Wilson had a penalty well saved by Etheridge in the Cardiff goal.
Cardiff have been happy to sit back - but at half-time, it's 1-0.
33'
45: Added time...
Two minutes added on.
Cardiff have just slung a few balls into our box but we've defended them really well, Ake and Gosling with two excellent headers.
We're still on top, Cardiff are going long as we expected.
33'
43: Daniels in the book...
A good challenge from Daniels - he gets 100% of the ball and hasn't gone through the man to get the ball.
We play on but then five seconds later, it gets pulled back.
He's now booked and it's a bizarre one. Jason Tindall is not happy on the touchline!
33'
40: A chance for Cardiff...
Joe Ralls whips in a left-footed cross and it's quite dangerous, it bends in the rain and Junior Hoilett looks to latch onto it at the back post but just misses it!
Not a massive chance, but still a good opening for them, their first for a while.
33'
38: Another penalty claim!
Waved away!
Brooks and Bennet tangle together and Brooks gets the wrong side...
It looks like a clear foul by Bennet tugging Brooks back as he looks set to go one-on-one but referee Kevin Friend gives it the other way!
33'
34: SAVED.
Wilson side foots it towards the bottom right corner...
But in all fairness it is a great save by Etheridge who reads it and get right in the corner.
Big opportunity missed!
33'
PENALTY!!!!
WILSON WINS IT! He goes down under a challenge from Manga and he will step up...
2'
Debutant...
2'
27: Unlucky!
A long ball is nodded on and King gets in the area for us.
At full pelt he hammers one across goal that flies narrowly wide.
Him and Wilson are furious though claiming a corner - not given!
Better from us though, we're attacking with a lot more purpose and confidence...
2'
23: GET IN!!!
We break really well and Wilson collects a pass in the area.
He's driven wide by his defender, but Wilson is sharp - he drills in a low ball and Fraser ghosts in completely unmarked to tap in.
Lovely finish - we're a goal up!
Could be crucial in this game as Cardiff have really sat off us!
2'
GOALLLLLLLL!
RYAN FRASER SCORES!!!!!!
2'
22: A glimpse...
We get the ball and spray it out to Daniels who's high up the pitch.
He slaps a ball in the box, Wilson's first touch is excellent and with his back to goal, he tries to lift it over Bamba's head but it's just nicked away!
2'
20: No real update...
Apart from Wilson's early effort, there's been no real chances of note here.
Cardiff are happy to stick men behind the ball, the first goal could be crucial here...
2'
A quiet start...
2'
A quiet start...
2'
10: Unlucky!
First real moment for us!
A good break sees Wilson get the ball 20-yards out, roll Sol Bamba before dribbling speedily into the area.
He gets half-a-yard at a slight anble, but drills a low strike just wide at the near.
Unlucky!

05: A quiet opening five...
Apart from Weeman getting Peltier booked, we haven't had much to shout about here.
We're keeping the ball well, Cardiff are sitting and soaking up our possession.
Probably as expected so far!
2'
03: An early yellow card...
Like Marseille, Fraser looks SHARP!
He skins three Cardiff players and is pulled back by Lee Peltier.
Blatant yellow card, fast start from Weeman!
2'
01: We are underway...
Cardiff get us underway and we're into the press straight away.
The Vitality Main Stand is full of noise to urge the boys on.
Hopefully a good start to the season!
14:57
The teams are out...
Everyone is buzzing - come on lads!
A great atmosphere today as I've already said, the place is rocking!
Cardiff fans as ever are in good voice too, they'll be well up for today too.
Nonny in the stands is getting us going!
14:54
Five minutes 'til kick-off...
A great atmosphere here in Vitality Stadium!
The fans are hungry for a result today, just like the players are - a great feel about the game today.
The press are all set in front of us, the ground is full, just need kick-off!
14:51
Lerma and Rico...
Are given a huge welcome here by the Vitality Stadium faithful.
Really nice as they walk into the centee-circle and make their way round the ground.

A stat to retain...
A great stat for us heading into today!
We have never lost a home game in the Premier League against a newly promoted side, winning six times and drawing twice.
Hopefully one that we can continue to build on this afternoon.
14:26
A first Premier League start...
After an impressive start against Marseille, Brooks gets the first Premier League start of his career.
It was great in the tunnel, he didn't know he was in the team, then was bursting with pride when he found out!
14:15
Begovic on pre-match duty...
As ever in the Premier League, one of the players has to speak to the press prior to the game. On the first game of the season, it's our number one - Asmir Begovic!
He's buzzing for today, much like all of our players are in the tunnel.
"We've had a good pre-season, we've worked hard and we're excited for today.
"It will be a tough test against a newly-promoted team, but we're ready."
14:00
Team news...
Rather unsurprisingly, it's the exact same team that played - and destroyed - Marseille.
Hopefully more of the same today - in my two-and-a-half years at the club, that was the best I've seen us play.
Jermain Defoe could start today, only Ryan Giggs, Frank Lampard and Paul Scholes have scored in more Premier League seasons than the 17 by Defoe.
If he scores twice today, he'll overtake Robbie Fowler in the all-time Premier League list.
See if he starts at 2pm here first!
13:30
Head to head...
It's another Premier League first for us today.
This will be the first time we've faced Cardiff in the top flight.
Cardiff have won only two of their past 15 league games against us, and Eddie Howe was playing for the Cherries when we last lost to the Bluebirds, all the way back in 2002.
Neil Warnock could provide the X factor though, he has lost just one of his 10 previous meetings against the Cherries.
12:59
Team news...
Boss Eddie Howe revealed that Nathan Ake, who went off in the Marseille game last week, is fit to play.
Breathe a sign of relief Cherries fans!
Elsewhere, Kyle Taylor and Junior Stanislas are still missing and Jefferson Lerma will not play this afternoon.
The boss said: "There will be other players involved in the World Cup who won't play this weekend. We need to make sure that when Jefferson steps on the pitch he's absolutely ready to perform at the top level."

Speaking of Defoe, all the lads have arrived!
Could we see another landmark this afternoon?
Jermain Defoe could start today, only Ryan Giggs, Frank Lampard and Paul Scholes have scored in more Premier League seasons than the 17 by Defoe.

The excitement is building...
What can we expect from Cardiff this afternoon?
Well, Neil Warnock's side play a very efficient brand of football, they're not a team that rely on artistry of playmakers, a direct approach.
He's made them extremely hard to beat and they'll be eager to make an impact this campaign.
They've added the likes of Bobby Reid from Bristol City and Josh Murphy from Norwich in order to give them more pace and bite up front.
Although this was in a completely different time for the Bluebirds, in the Premier League they have won just two of their 19 away games.
We've got a record to banish today...
It's an opening day hoodoo in the top flight...
We've lost all three of our opening matches in a Premier League season.
Villa (H), Man UTD (H), West Brom (A).
Time to banish the demons today with a good result this afternoon!
It's not just us though, Cardiff have never won their opening fixture of a top-flight campaign when it has been away from home.
We'll be welcoming this pair today...
Welcome!
Another season is upon us...
We're all excited!
We're live at Vitality Stadium and you can follow our huge opener against Cardiff with these live updates. All the team news, preview and more will be here, as well as live audio commentary at 2.20pm. JOIN US!
