Thank you for following!

79'

FULL TIME

WHAT A CUP TIE!

Junior Stanislas got us going, before Jordon Ibe doubled the lead.

A quickfire Rovers double out of nothing made it 2-2, before Callum Wilson, on as a sub, scores at the death to hand us a Carabao Cup win!

We are never dull, it's a great win and puts us in the hat for Saturday's draw!

79'

90: WILSON WITH THE LAST KICK!!!!

A SET PLAY IS WHIPPED IN AND CALLUM WILSON IS THERE TO NOD IN!!!

WELL, WE ARE NEVER DULL!

79'

GOALLLLLLLLLLLL!

YES WE'VE DONE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

79'

90: OFF THE BAR!

WILSON OFF THE BAR WITH A HEADER LATE ON!!

79'

RED CARD

One of the weirdest red cards I've ever seen!

Williams is dismissed!

So, he gets a back pass at centre back, he's under pressure from Wilson and our striker looks to get clean through after Williams got it stuck under his feet!

Immediately, the centre-back just picks the ball up! Weirdest red card ever!

79'

90: Four minutes of added time...

Four minutes to avoid penalties.

We are well on top, if anyone scores it will surely be us...

79'

86: Just over!

Ibe again drifting infield to the edge!

He collects the ball, shifts it to his right foot and hammers a drive but it's over the bar.

We're well on top, have to make this dominance pay!

79'

84: Save by Raya!

A counter attacksees Pugh and King combine, before King sets Ibe on the edge of the box.

He's at a slight angle, but drills a low one which Raya can gather.

We're on top as Rovers look to hold on for penalties.

79'

Straight to penalties if it continues...

48'

77: Close from Pugh!

Blackburn survive a huge scare!

King has a shot blocked and the rebound falls to Pugh!

He catches it so sweetly in the area, but it is well blocked again by a Rovers man throwing himself at the ball!

Close!

48'

75: Just wide!

Lewis Cook!

He gets the ball on the left-hand side and smashes one on his left towards the near post!

It flies narrowly over and wide of Raya's goal - the Cherries are looking to respond to going level here.

48'

73: Third change for us...

A response to going to 2-2.

Callum Wilson comes on for Jermain Defoe.

48'

GOAL for Blackburn.

It's 2-2.

Boruc dives the right way but it's off the post and in from Amstrong.

Well, that has escalated quickly... we're level here.

48'

PENALTY to Blackburn.

It looks like Mings puts in a good tackle, but after an Artur Boruc save and a blocked effort, Mings went in on Brereton and it's a penalty...

48'

69: A double sub...

Lys Mousset makes way for Joshua King, who will be looking to score against his former club.

Marc Pugh is also on, he gets a nice ovation replacing Junior Stanislas.

Fresh legs up front.

48'

A calm head...

48'

65: Chance!

What a pass by Smith!

He sweeps one with the outside of his boot and Stanislas is in behind down the right!

Raya rushes out and Stanislas tries to chip him - its just not firm enough and Raya can catch it! Close - brilliant pass by Smith and great movement by Stanislas!

48'

64: One that could have been avoided...

Lerma unfortunately gives it away and Conway latches onto it.

He drives towards goal 25-yards out and has it all to do. But he smashes a low one into the bottom corner.

In fairness, a really good strike but could've been prevented.

2-1 now.

48'

GOAL for Blackburn.

Conway smashes Rovers back in it.

48'

62: Big chance!

Lovely play!

A cross from Stanislas reaches Ibe at the far post, he plays a simple lay off to Defoe and you know what's coming!

He strikes one from the edge of the box, but it's blazed over! All us after getting the second, hopefully more to come!

48'

GOAL!

IBE DISPATCHES IT INTO THE BOTTOM CORNER!

Calm as you like! 2-0!

48'

PENALTY to us!

Ibe wins it!!

He skins his man and is brought down, penalty!

Stanislas wants the ball, but Ibe has taken it from him and will take...

48'

Pushing for a second...

48'

53: Almost an own goal!

Mousset does well!

He drives down the right-hand side and whacks in a cross - it evades the first man and Williams has to divert it over, but it's quite close to his own goal and flies narrowly over!

Close!

48'

50: A quiet start to the second half...

We've not been at the top levels we showed in the first half at the beginning of this second half.

Blackburn created that decent Armstrong chance but that's about all - nothing to shout about really from us so far.

48'

48: Decent chance...

For Blackburn.

Armstrong is a pest on that left-hand side, he picks up the ball and steams into the area.

The angle is against him, but he drives a vicious low strike narrowly wide of the far post.

33'

46: Back underway...

We'll attack the Vitality Steve Fletcher Main Stand in this half.

Hopefully some more justified goals to come for us!

33'

HALF TIME

A good half, entertaining!

Junior Stanislas' superbly taken goal separates the two sides at the interval - his sweetly struck volley from Simon Francis' cross shows he's back and firing!

It could have been two, three maybe even four but for the brilliant David Raya in goal for the visitors.

1-0 is always dangerous, but it looks positive. See you back here in 15 minutes!

33'

39: Another great chance!

Mousset does well!

He cleanly megs Rodwell, drives 20-yards forward to the edge of the box.

Ibe is screaming for the ball on the left, he's completely free in the area, but Mousset opts to shoot and curls it against a defender!

If he looks to his left, it could've been Ibe one-on-one!

33'

37: Raya again saved!!!

Another brilliant save!

Ibe does so well down the left, him and Junior have swapped sides to great effect.

Ibe skins his man, gets in the area and cuts the ball back to Defoe.

In the six-yard box, it looks a certain goal - Defoe hits it high and somehow he keeps us out again!

He's kept Blackburn in it, maybe one to look at when Football Manager comes out!

33'

35: Almost two!

A great pass from Stanislas!

It's so deft, he plays a cute one round the corner and Defoe penetrates the back line!

He's in one-on-one, but Raya again does so well, rushing out quickly to thwart the striker nicking the ball at his feet!

A second goal would be richly deserved!

5'

Working hard for a second goal...

5'

33: WHAT A SAVE!

Defoe denied from six-yards!

Francis AGAIN influential! He swings in a perfect cross for Defoe in the middle, the striker chucks himself at the ball and plants a brilliant header - it looks in but for another superb piece of goalkeeping from Raya!

Unlucky!

5'

29: Good block by Mings!

Palmer plays a sweeping pass out to the pacy Armstrong and he cuts inside from the left - it's a really threatening counter attack.

He's one on one with Simpson, smashes a shot but out of nowhere, Mings makes a superb block!

Looked a real chance for Blackburn, excellent defending.

5'

Great photo!

5'

25: Well there hasn't been an attack for five minutes...

Good for my keyboard!

But the game has settled down slightly after a period of pressure from us.

Blackburn are enjoying the ball at the moment, but they can't break down our defensive shape as it stands.

Still 1-0.

5'

20: Unlucky!

One off the training ground!

Ibe lofts a delightful high corner to the far side on the edge of the box, and Stanislas takes it on with hie left foot!

It's such a good strike - but it deflects wide narrowly!

So close - Junior is well up for it tonight!!

5'

A great finish for our opener!

5'

16: Almost two!

Nearly a quick-fire double!

Francis again involved, he swings in another delightful delivery from the right, this time a low one!

Stanislas looks set to tap in but it's well blocked Derrick Williams to prevent a certain goal!

We're on fire!

5'

14: 1-0!

A beauty!!

Francis has been causing all kinds of problems running from deep, and he proves key again!

The skipper gets the ball on the left and whips in a first-time cross.

It's a great ball into Stanislas at the back post, he swivels and launches a superb volley into the top corner!

Brilliant, brilliant take! 1-0 and deserved!!

5'

GOALLLLL!

JUNIOR STANISLAS WITH A PEACH!!

5'

10: A really open game...

Both sides have had chances and if you're a neutral, it's been a good game!

A solid opening ten minutes, two teams looking to play expansive, open football - hopefully a goal in it for us soon!

5'

08: What a save!

Almost an own goal!

A really lovely patient piece of play here from us, Cook and Ibe combine to release Francis down the right.

His cross causes havoc for the Rovers defence, it cannons off their man and loops high into the sky.

It looks like it's going in but for a wonder save from Raya!

5'

06: Huge chance for Blackburn!

Armstrong crossed from the left, it was glanced on by Simpson and Boruc has to tip it away!

It's a really good stop, but the rebound falls to Brereton at the back post and he somehow diverts it wide!

We should be behind here...

5'

04: Defoe shoots!

Blocked again by a Rovers body!

Stanislas drives forward - he looks sharp - and slips in Mousset down the left.

He finds Defoe who made a clever run in behind and at an angle, his low drive is well defended by Ryan Nyambe.

We're on top!

19:49

03: A scramble!!

We almost score three times in one move!

Francis gets round the outside on the right and crosses for Mousset!

He is able to take a touch eight-yards out before it's blocked, the rebound falls to Mousset again favourably but it's blocked again as three Rovers defenders dive in!

Then THAT rebound falls to Ibe who has another effort well blocked eight-yards out again - hope that makes sense!

Rovers on the back foot here!

19:46

02: Ball in the net!

Offside though!

Phew!

Ben Brereton latches onto Kasey Palmer's ball and finishes in space but the linesman flagged immediately! No replays in the ground, but he did look offside from the press box (no bias!!)

19:45

01: We are underway!

Jermain Defoe kicks us off here!

We'll attack the Colmar Construction Ted MacDougall Stand to get things going this half.

A great chance for the lads to progress and impress against in-form Blackburn!

19:38

The teams are out...

A great chance for the lads to impress tonight!

Lead out by skipper Simon Francis, we're almost underway!

A reminder, NO LIVE COMMS due to Carabao Cup regulations, so text updates are here!

19:27

Blackburn...

... are on fire in the shooting drill in front of us!

Everyone has scored, it's the best I've seen any team in front of goal this season in the drill in front of us!

Hopefully not a sign of things to come from Adam Armstrong and co. this evening!

19:26

A reminder...

NO live commentary tonight due to Carabao Cup regulations, sorry guys not our fault!

We'll keep you up to date though with these updates on the live blog - no pressure!

19:23

Winging it...

Ryan Fraser has been involved in six goals in his past eight League Cup appearances scoring and assisting in a 3-0 win over against MK Dons in the second round.

But with him not involved, it's up to Jordon Ibe and Junior Stanislas out wide to help supply the ammunition.

Ibe scored in the last round himself against MK Dons, a big night for him to impress here at home!

19:19

One to watch...

Well, not necessarily from a goalscoring perspective, but Jack Rodwell starts for Blackburn tonight - he was on trial at Watford this summer before linking up with Tony Mowbray.

It's his club debut tonight, and his spell at Sunderland has been well documented with plenty of issues.

A real point to prove to the critics starting with us this evening.

19:00

Head to head...

The Cherries have played against Blackburn in two previous League Cup ties - the first was a two-legged affair in 1993/94 when Rovers won 1-0 on aggregate.

The second was more memorable, when Premier League Rovers were on the receiving end of a penalty shoot out defeat at Ewood Park, a certain Eddie Howe notching the winning penalty after a 3-3 draw!

We haven't beaten the Lancashire club however in the last four games in all competitions at home.

18:52

Junior is back...

After 60 minutes in the Hampshire Senior Cup and 30 minutes against Burnley, Junior Stanislas is back starting for the first team, great to see!

He starts out wide on the left and will be looking to combine with Adam Smith in a partnership that usually happens on the right!

Hopefully he can come through another test in his comeback tonight.

18:38

Cup progress...

We are looking to reach the fourth round of the Carabao Cup for the fourth time in the past five seasons - not a bad record!

Before that though, we  hadn't reached the fourth round in any of the previous 50 seasons!

Hopefully another strong cup run awaits, continuing tonight.

18:07

Goals tonight?

Well, if Blackburn's last three games against Premier League opposition in this tournament is anything to go by, then bet on plenty of goals! (If you're gambling, gamble responsibly!)

Their three away League Cup ties against top flight teams have produced 22 goals (eight scored, 14 conceded).

They have lost all three of those games, but they head to us in good form in the Championship.

17:59

Team news...

Well, we always expect Eddie Howe to make changes for the Carabao Cup, but in his press conference he hinted that there may be a few who played at Burnley in the mix this evening.

The boss said he may want some players to bounce back from disappointing displays at Turf Moor, but you'll find out first here at 6.45pm straight from the dressing room!

17:57

Welcome...

The Carabao Cup is back!

Welcome to Vitality Stadium where we're sure  there will be another entertaining night of Carabao Cup action in our third round tie with Blackburn Rovers.

We're in form, they're in form, it should be a good one!

Unfortunately due to Carabao Cup rules, there is NO live commentary tonight, the only place to follow the game is here on our live blog.
