FULL TIME

Well that was a whirlwind!

We'll take a point but we almost nicked it at the end!

Goals from substitute Adam Smith and Dan Gosling secure a point for us in a frantic end to the game!

90: We are pushing for a winner now!!

What a turnaround!

From Shelvey's miss to our second goal!

We're pushing for a winner, a series of corners have been cleared by Newcastle, we're on top with five minutes of injury time!!

89: YESSSSS!

WE ARE LEVEL!

A PERIOD OF SUSTAINED PRESSURE!

AKE GOT THE BALL IN THE BOX AND CROSSED FOR GOSLING WHO TAPS IN! GET IN!!!

GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!

DAN GOSLINGGGGGGGGG!

84: Save!

Stanislas whips a free-kick from the edge of the area and it's high and on target but Dubruvka makes the catch.

Mohamed Diame was booked fore the foul that won the free-kick, as he scythed down Mousset.

83: Ritchie is subbed...

To applause from all four corners of the ground.

A nice touch, we're on top in the game and pushing hard for an equaliser.

80: Get in!

Great strike!
Smith picked the ball up just inside the area, he fooled the goalkeeper and blasted one at the near post off the bar and in!

Game on - it's got the crowd going - can we nick something!?

GOALLLL ADAM SMITH!!!

A great strike off the bar and in!

GAME ON!!!!

78: How it's not 3-0 I'll never know...

Atsu goes clean through on goal and unselfishly squares for Shelvey.

SOMEHOW just outside the six-yard box, he blasted it over. Unbelievable miss.

75: Crucial stop!

Close!

Smithy crosses from the left, it's headed back on by Lys and with Jermain ready to pounce, Dubruvka gets such acrucial touch the palm the ball away!

If he doesn't touch it, Defoe surely taps in!

With the ball still in the box, Dubruvka went down to stop play - not sure about that!

73: First opening for Defoe...

Smithy crosses for Defoe who manages to swivel at the near post and get a shot away, forcing a stop from Dubruvka at the near post.

Positive!

72: Final change...

Wilson is coming off.

He's being replaced by Jermain Defoe.

He's back after a long injury lay off, let's hope he can make an impact on this game.

72: Sitter for Perez...

Gayle blasts a free-kick into the wall and it falls kindly for Perez in the box.

He's under a little pressure but somehow diverts over from close range.

70: 20 minutes left...

Newcastle haven't threatened our goal and are more than happy to sit, contain and defend their lead.

All of the ball, but they're so difficult to break down.

62: Second change for us...

It's time for Lys Mousset!

Weeman is replaced for the Frenchman. Hopefully that can spark something for us ...

56: Chance!!

For us...

King gets wide and puts a ball in, Stanislas dummies and Weeman is there but his left-footed effort is over in the area!

Great opportunity!

56: Nothing of note to happen yet in the half...

52: Booking for Nathan Ake...

A rash challenge on Gayle.

Mistimed ratherthan malicious, but a definite yellow card on the half way line for Ake.

Ritchie is also booked shortly after for dissent.

49: Penalty appeal waved away...

On Weeman!

He got to the ball first and is absolutely clattered by Jamaal Lascelles - it's a foolish challenge... but the referee immediately pointed for a goal kick.

45: We're back underway and a change...

A big half! We've also made a sub, Daniels is off for Adam Smith to come and play left-back.

Hopefully a barnstorming comeback - a lot to do.

Come on lads!

HALF TIME

Boos at the break.

Two Dwight Gayle strikes see us 2-0 down at the interval, a poor half from us.

It can only get better in the second, as the lads attack the Steve Fletcher Vitality Main Stand in the second half.

45: The second...

A poor goal for us to concede.

A set play is cleared but Paul Dummet whips it in, it's not cleared and Ayoze Perez's effort goes under Begovic and Gayle is there to tap in.

45: GOAL for Newcastle.

Dwight Gayle scores again.

43: Tough to break down...

When we get the ball, the space in between the Newcastle defenders and midfield is so so tight.

We can't find a way through, so are trying from range.

Charlie Daniels has just blasted one over and Dan Gosling before him volleyed over the bar.

38: A change of sides...

Ryan Fraser and Junior have swapped wings.

Weeman is on the right now, Junior on the left. Hopefully it works for us, Newcastle are defending stoutly at the back.

The perfect away perofrmance so far, unfortunately for us...

32: Newcastle have dropped deep...

They're happy to sit back currently and let us have the ball.

We can't create anything clear cut at the moment, we're looking to get it wide and rely on delivery into the box.

Still 0-1.

27: It's turned scrappy now...

23: Stanislas volleys...

It's not far over...

A corner is cleared to the edge and Junior is there to strike!

It's a well hit volley, but it doesn't affect Dubruvka and it's over.

20: Ritchie goes close...

Well, we know all about that left foot.

He cuts inside from the right, 25-yards out, and whips sa lovely effort but it flies just wide of the post.

Close...

17: Fear not...

We've won our last three home games 2-1.

There's that to go off at the moment!

15: Gayle reacted quickest...

Jonjo Shelvey releases Ritchie down the right and he slaps in a cross for Gayle.

Asmir Begovic gets a touch but Gayle is alert to finish with a backheel on the line.

We're 1-0 down...

15: GOAL for Newcastle.

Dwight Gayle scores. 0-1.

Wilson's earlier effort...

10: First save!

Stanislas' free-kick is half cleared and Wilson is able to swivel and shoot - it looks like it could be creeping in but Martin Dubravka - impressive against Man United last week - makes sure with a parry.

All the attacking impetus is coming from us!

08: Stanislas...

Is looking very lively.

Another attack and he gets it on the edge, but he whizzes a left-footer over.

Him and King are busy, the latter has taken his gloves off - he must mean business!

05: What a ball!

A lovely move and Stanislas gets the ball out wide.

He uses Simon Francis' run as a decoy and whips in a delightful cross, if Callum Wilson in the middle is on the same wavelength it's 1-0 - right in the corridor of uncertainty!

Unlucky...

03: Chance!

Junior Stanislas gets down the right and hangs up a high cross, Dan Gosling is completely unmarked but his header is over just inside the area.

That's a difficult chance to take, but still a good opening! Positive start...

01: We're underway!

Joshua King, in short sleeves and gloves, gets us underway.

We're attacking the Ted MacDougall Colmar Construction Stand - Ted is in attendance today - go on lads!

Matt Ritchie...

He's received a nice round of applause from the Cherries' faithful.

No boos, respect all round.

The teams are out...

A big game in the Premier League is almost underway... We'll bring you all the updates here, Twitter, Instagram story and live updates on this blog.

Go on lads!

Did you know...

In the Premier League, all three meetings between the two teams today has been won by the away side!

One to put to bed today!!

The Cherries are warming up nicely...

They're out for the warm up on a deceptively cold day on the south coast.

There's a record for the lads to continue today... we're yet to lose a Premier League home match against a newly-promoted side  - we've won six and drawn once.

Another Callum strike?

Well the stats seem to suggest a return to goalscoring for Wilson.

He has four goals in his last two home games against promoted opposition - might be worth looking at for a coupon!

One to watch...

Ayoze Perez is a thorn in our side for Newcastle.

He has two goals in two Premier League starts against us, both coming in the 2015/16 season in the home and away games.

His last Premier League goal came on New Year's Day against Stoke away - a crucial strike.

Team news...

So Jermain Defoe returns!

He's on the bench, Jordon Ibe misses out on the matchday squad - we'll wait for Eddie Howe to confirm why.

TEAM IN TEXT: Begovic; Francis, S Cook, Ake, Daniels; Stanislas, L Cook, Gosling, Fraser; King, Wilson.

Nathan shares his pre-match thoughts...

How are Newcastle faring?

Well, they're in decent form. The Magpies have lost just one of their last seven league games - drawing four of those.

On the flip side though, they have been beaten in all five of their away games this season against teams presently in the top half.

So a mixed bag for Rafa Benitez's side heading here.

Today is a rather special anniversary...

Team news...

It's an hour away.

Jermain Defoe was back in training, but the manager was coy about his chances of starting or being involved in the squad.

So Jermain could return, but Tyrone Mings is still recovering from his back injury, and could miss the rest of the season.

We'll find out at 2pm if there's any changes!

Will the home run continue?

We are unbeaten in four Premier League home games, winning the last three in a row.

We could also win our fourth game at Vitality Stadium in a row - which would be a Premier League record for us.

A little bit of top flight history on offer for the club today!

Welcome...
