AFC Bournemouth booked a place in the semi-final of the Servio Hampshire Men’s Senior Cup thanks to a 4-0 win over Wessex League Folland Sports on Wednesday.

The Cherries downed the Planemakers with a quartet of second-half goals, with Baylin Johnson, Lewis Brown (penalty), Jonny Stuttle and Mali Ogunleye on the scoresheet.

Konrad Szyszko plucked Finn Tonks’s effort out of the top corner, the Follands goalkeeper also saving Noa Boutin’s fierce drive at his near post.

Szyszko was also equal to Baylin Johnson’s shot from a tight angle before he blocked another effort from Boutin who was picked out by Charlie Osborne.

The pick of his saves in the early stages saw Szyszko acrobatically tip Balraj Landa’s ferocious over the crossbar after Kian Tydeman had slipped a neat pass into the frontman.

Landa worked an opening in a tight space, only to see his shot deflected over the top, before Fabio Manuel’s shot from the edge of the box clipped the crossbar.

Johnson was twice foiled by Szyszko, his shot following a sharp turn striking the goalkeeper in the midriff before he tipped the winger’s piledriver over the crossbar.

Max Kinsey climbed at the far post to meet Tydeman’s free-kick, his header flashing across the face of the goalmouth on the stroke of half-time.

Cam Plain made a smart save to deny Josh Carey an opening goal early in the second half before the Cherries made the breakthrough five minutes after the break.

A short corner routine saw Osborne’s cross eventually fall to Tydeman and, although his shot was parried by Szyszko, Johnson reacted quickest and fired home the rebound.

As the Cherries looked for a second, Landa lifted his effort over the crossbar following good build-up play between Tydeman and Johnson.

Brown doubled the Cherries’ lead when he sent Szyszko the wrong way from the penalty spot after Jonny Stuttle had been unceremoniously upended by a defender.

And Stuttle made it 3-0 when he timed his run to perfection before sweeping a delightful left-foot shot past Szyszko after latching on to Archie Harris’s slide-rule pass.

Szyszko denied Stuttle a second when he pulled off a stunning reaction save after the striker had met Tonks’s driven, low cross.

Three of the Cherries substitutes combined to make it 4-0 two minutes from time, Ogunleye arrowing a shot into the bottom corner after Josh Salmon had laid Jack Holman’s cross into his path.

AFC Portchester and AFC Totton are already through to the last four and will be joined by either Southampton or Horndean who are due to do battle later this month.
