Cherries Community Fund and draw results

/media/153181/community-fund-stand.jpg

AFC Bournemouth's popular half-time Cherries Community Draw gives supporters the chance to win cash prizes while helping the local community through the Cherries Community Fund.

At each home game, supporters can purchase tickets, priced at £1, to go into the draw. The more tickets you buy, the more chance you have of winning, with all proceeds going directly into the Cherries Community Fund.

The Fund, set up by the club, has provided financial assistance to projects that help to develop young people and vulnerable groups, or those that promote sport and a healthy lifestyle in the area of Dorset.

The Fund will be financed from the proceeds of the popular Cherries Community Draw and any other donations the club receives.

Groups can put in applications for up to £1,000 worth of funding, which will then be judged by a two-man panel, comprising of AFC Bournemouth chairman Jeff Mostyn and head of AFC Bournemouth’s Community Sports Trust Steve Cuss.

The panel meet quarterly throughout the year and panels are scheduled in March, June, September and December.

Since 2016, the Cherries Community Fund has donated a huge £137,943.80 back into the local community.

After having to pause donations during matches where our supporters could not attend at full capacity, we are delighted to announce that the Cherries Community Fund will once again be accepting applications and plans to hold a panel in December 2021 to ensure we can give to as many deserving organisations as possible.
