Premier League Inspires is a secondary school education programme that uses the reach and appeal of the Premier League and AFC Bournemouth to support 11-18-year-olds at risk of not reaching their potential as they move through the education system allowing them to develop personal skills, knowledge and attitudes to succeed in life.
The Premier League Inspires programme is available to any secondary aged establishment, alternative provision or SEND specific school in the Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole region as well as further afield upon request for full day, half day or ad hoc delivery models.
Through Premier League Inspires, the Premier League and AFC Bournemouth will:
- Support young people to improve their well-being
- Develop character and life skills
- Help schools/academies keep pupils present and committed
- Provide young people with access to more opportunities
- Enable young people to plan for the future and to be work ready
By partnering with Premier League Inspires at AFC Bournemouth, your education establishment can access the following delivery from fully qualified staff to raise attainment across KS3 – KS5 within the following pathways:
- Transition
- Personal Skills & Development
- Careers & Employability
Cohort delivery includes but is not limited to the following:
- Transition skills for secondary school
- Personal development and teamwork skills qualifications
- Academic and targeted mentoring (1:1 and small group)
- Career planning and preparing for the world of work
- Community needs social action projects
- FA recognised football coaching/leadership qualifications
- UNITAR Girls Changemakers Leadership qualification
Delivery starts free of charge, with additional bespoke costs dependent on individual educational establishment requirements.
