Born in Southampton, Carroll first played for his local team Netley Royals and Fareham in the early stages of his career.
Playing for Fareham, Carroll played in a host of positions and earned a number of golden boots in the Junior Premier League.
He joined AFC Bournemouth at under-12s and accepted a scholarship as an under-16.
His most memorable experience has been tours to Scotland and Manchester, as well as playing in a Premier League tournament.
Carroll is able to play in midfield, on the wing or upfront and is described as a very intelligent footballer with impressive movement and an eye for set-pieces.
