Centre-back Jay Williams was born in Lichfield, Staffordshire, and moved to Southampton in 2010.
He began playing football locally with Baddlesley FC before playing for Pace & Hamble, playing in a host of different positions.
Williams tried to attend as many Premier League matches as possible to give him a better understanding of the game.
He joined AFC Bournemouth at under-15s, following a successful trial period, and was given a scholarship in the summer of 2023.
Away from the football pitch, Williams is a dedicated basketball fan and is devoting his time to becoming a better person and footballer.
He's described as having a keenness to learn, which is complemented by being very athletic with great communication and leadership skills.
