Youth team coach is a proud man after leading his side to the Third Round of the FA Youth Cup thanks to a win at Bristol Rovers and then last night, a 5-0 win at AFC Wimbledon. This means that side have earned the right to play at the Reebok Stadium against Bolton in the Third Round, the game should take place during the week before 12 December.
It's a massive game and Joe is delighted to be there, "Playing a Premier League club at their ground is going to be a great experience for the lads. This is a game that we don't normally play and it will put us on the map at this level. It's a one off game, so we will be looking to go there and cause an upset and go through to the next round. There is certainly no way we will be going there to enjoy the experience, we treat the competition with the utmost respect and want to go as far in it as we can.
Although we won 5-0 last night, I was overall pleased with the lads attitude, pleased with the build up play and pleased with the finishing. We weren't the underdogs, so I think the lads put a little pressure on themselves. Wimbledon had spoken to Bristol Rovers and they had made us sound like a physical and aggressive side and I think they came out with that attitude. I was disappointed with some of challenges and one or two lads picked up knocks. I felt we could have dealt with that better, but overall, I am pleased to get through and we are all now looking forward to the challenge of Bolton Wanderers."
