AFC Bournemouth is pleased to announce an initiative designed to provide some memorable days out for young Cherries fans.
The new match day experience package will give local teams, schools and youth groups the chance to buy discounted match tickets and form a guard of honour as the teams walk out on to the pitch.
The package is a great way of getting closer to the action and enjoying an afternoon with the Cherries.
Manager Lee Bradbury added, "I think it's a great idea. I've always fully supported the club's initiatives in the past because sometimes one good experience can turn one of the kids into a lifelong fan.
"It's really pleasing to see young faces around the ground and enjoying their day with us, they're the future of the club and we want to make sure they keep coming back.
"Seeing the young fans forming a guard of honour will give the lads a boost before a game, and hopefully they can play their part in a victory."
Groups of 50 or more can take part in the experience, and up to 30 under 16's can form the guard of honour. The group will also receive a flag signed by the first team to remember their day at the Seward Stadium.
Tickets for the package are reduced from £22 to £15 for adults, and are only £8 for under 16s and over 65s.
AFC Bournemouth commercial director Rob Mitchell said, "We are always looking at ways to encourage young fans to come to games, and this is another great example of that.
"The groups that have taken part in the past have really enjoyed it and we would like to give that opportunity to more organisations.
"The guard of honour always looks fantastic and it helps us to build the excitement just before kick-off."
Groups interested in the package should call 01202 726313 or e-mail tom.jeffes@afcb.co.uk.
