SWINDON RESERVES 3 BOURNEMOUTH RESERVES 0

Posted on: Tue 02 Mar 2010

Three first half goals condemned a young Cherries side to defeat against Swindon at Hungerford tonight.

Ben Gerring gave the hosts the lead in the very first minute but Tom Green almost had an instant reply when he headed on to the top of the crossbar.

Pompey loanee Matt Ritchie set up a second goal on 34 minutes, his corner finally being put away by Michael Timlin and before the break Nathan Thompson fired home an impressive third strike.

To their credit, the young Cherries side made up of youth players and one trialist, never let their heads drop, and Swindon couldn't add to their tally in the second period.

Robins: Jesionkowski, Thompson, Richards, Easton, Gerring, Jean-Francois, Ritchie, Timlin, Pericard, Bodin.

Subs: Marshall, Said, Evans, Barnes

Cherries: Thomas, Vokes, Hester, Strugnell, Oldring, Magookin, Parsons, Hill, Stockley, Kemble, Forbes.

Subs: Bell, Murphy, Annetts
