Jason joined Bournemouth from Portsmouth on trial, with a view to joining on loan. He impressed and was quickly signed on a permanent basis. He made his debut on the opening day of the 07-08 season and he grew as a player as the campaign went on and his whole hearted performances made him a vital member of the squad. Last season, Jason scored three times this season, including the winner in the FA Cup against Bristol Rovers and a goal against then leaders Wycombe. Jason finished off a brilliant season with a clean sweep of the player of the year awards.
Jason signed a new three year deal before the 2009-10 season started and went on to enjoy a tremendous campaign. He was named as the PFA Player of the Month for November. He became team captain and overcame a broken foot to be involved in the glorious run in to promotion.
