Non Matchday Interviews:

Any request to interview the manager Lee Bradbury, any of the players or any member of AFC Bournemouth staff, must be submitted to Max Fitzgerald.

No member of the media should contact any AFC Bournemouth employee without first contacting Max Fitzgerald.

Members of the playing squad or management will not be available in the 24 hours prior to a match.

Youth Team players will not speak to the media.

Thursday morning press calls will no longer be held at the Training Ground and will be by written invite or written request only. These may not take place weekly.

Media access to AFC Bournemouth's Training Ground is strictly prohibited.

Interview Requests:

Separate to normal media interviews, members of the press may make requests for a private one-to-one feature interview with the manager, players and chairman.

All feature interviews must be logged and Max Fitzgerald must approve requests. Either Max Fitzgerald or an allocated member of the media department will be present at the interview.

Step by step process:

All feature interview requests must be put in writing to Max Fitzgerald. The following information must be included:

Journalist name, publication/organisation, deadlines, expected publication dates and details of the subject of the interview.

If the request is deemed inappropriate, refusal letters/email will be sent out.
If the subject approves, an interview will be scheduled for the next convenient time.

Interviews are completed on a first come, first served basis. However, priority will be given to media partners. Possible problems may be players becoming unavailable for the interview because of training or other commitments. In this situation we will try and set up an alternative player or new date for the interview.

Accreditation for fixtures at Seward Stadium:

Requests for media accreditation to an AFC Bournemouth home match should be submitted via Football DataCo's i-PBS booking system at least 48 hours before a fixture.

Accredited members of the media can also contact Mick Cunningham to request access to the Seward Stadium for fixtures.

Every member of the media attending a fixture at the Seward Stadium should have ID approved by Football DataCo and produce it on request.

Admission to the Seward Stadium to cover a fixture is based on acceptance of the Ground Regulations and the Football League media access agreement - both are available on request.

AFC Bournemouth will closely monitor journalists' output to ensure they are not in breach of the media access agreement - this includes, but is not limited to, excessive use of Twitter to report on a match in progress as in line with Football League guidelines.

Matchday

Pre Match:

No pre match interviews will take place with the manger Lee Bradbury or playing squad unless called specifically by the club. In this case, all local media will be notified.

Post Match:

AFC Bournemouth manager Lee Bradbury or assistant Russ Willcox will be brought to the pitchside for a post match press briefing. Priority may be given to our media partners.

Visiting clubs are requested to bring their manager to pitchside for a post-match press briefing to fit in around his other commitments.

Requests for interviews with players need to be lodged with Max Fitzgerald who will make himself available immediately after the match.

Players will meet members of the media pitchside and when more than one member of the media requests an interview with a player, he will conduct one briefing with the media.

No members of the press will be allowed in the tunnel area..

The media team from visiting clubs should contact AFC Bournemouth in the lead-up to the fixture and they will be given access to the tunnel area.

Members of the media should be aware that Lee Bradbury and the AFC Bournemouth players will complete post-match Club requirements before speaking to others.

Reserve, youth and other non-first team fixtures:

Press are welcome to attend and must apply via the iPBS system. No interviews will be permitted before or after these matches and normal non-matchday press procedures will apply.

Car Parking:

AFC Bournemouth will provide free parking for the visiting club's media on a reciprocal basis.

Parking for matchday press is available to the south of the ground in a Council-run pay and display car park. Signage/pay points are sparse but you will need to purchase a ticket if your vehicle is parked there up to 6pm, after which time it is free.

Press Box:

Press tickets can be collected from Matchday Press Officer Oscar Tollast in Legends Bistro, to the right of the main reception, before the game. Each individual ticket will have a specific seat number which must be adhered to. Requests for ISDN lines should be made at least 48 hours before the game, and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

The Press Box is situated to the right of the tunnel and offers unobstructed views of the match. There is free wireless connection available; the password will be supplied on the matchday
All visiting press are issued with a meal ticket, entitling the holder to a drink and a hot food item from the concourses.

Photographers:

Only licenced Photographers are admitted to take photographs of games at AFC Bournemouth and must apply through DataCo i-PBS. Photographers are required to wear an orange bib for the game. These can be signed for when you pick up your press pass. These should be returned to Club Photographer Mick Cunningham (Bib No 1) at the end of the game in the press room.

Photographers needing to wire pictures during the game can use the free wireless service at the ground. You will be issued with the matchday password on request. There are no restrictions of where you can take pictures from, but you should keep off the grass on the edge of the pitch and do not sit in front of any advertising hoardings.
