Cherries midfielder Marc Pugh has been in scintillating form since joining Bournemouth from Hereford. He came to the club with a reputation of being a goalscoring midfielder and he has enhanced that with three goals so far - the same number he scored against Bournemouth last season!
It's been a great start for the Lancashire lad, but he admits that he couldn't have made such an impression without his team mates and is aiming to surpass his goalscoring exploits of last term, "I've said before that I'm looking to get in to double figures this season and with the character of the players around me, I'm hoping to do that. I got 13 last season and my first aim this season is double figures and then to beat last seasons total. I've had a good start and I'm pleased to get three in the opening five games this season and will be looking to continue that form.
It was a great ball from Harry last week for my goal. Harry is technically a very good player and he picked a great pass out to me. I will always try and gamble and get in behind a defender to get the goals but you can't do that by yourself, you need your team mates and when a goal like that comes off, it makes all the hard work in training worthwhile.
We now have a big game on Saturday against Dagenham & Redbridge and it's one that all the lads are looking forward to and hopefully we can build and push on from the positive start we have had."
