With Dan Thomas injured and also youth team keeper Shane Murphy sidelined, there are no thought's from Shwan Jalal that he is under no pressure as he continues to drive himself onwards.
Shwan is always pushing himself and working hard with the goalkeeping coaches at the club and he told www.afcb.co.uk, "I work hard every day with Neil Moss to get the basics right. I was used to not having another keeper to train with last season, but through my experiences, I know never to rest on my laurels. I know that Eddie and Jason are always watching me, and when I train with them, I have got to be sharp and never take my foot off the pedal.
The training with Neil Moss and Gareth Stewart over the last few weeks has been excellent. I have enjoyed working with Gaz and he's a top man and you can see that he is a very good goalkeeper. It has a ripple effect on me that I have to be on my toes and be at my best.
It doesn't affect me at all that we haven't got a keeper on the bench. I don't go out there thinking I can't make a mistake. When I was at Peterborough, I always felt that the next mistake meant that I would be out of the team and that was always on my mind. I want to be a keeper who never makes mistakes and has a 7/10 in every game. I know that if I do make a mistake, I'll put my hand up and move on from there. I know that Eddie, Jason, Mossie and Gaz believe in me and that is fantastic to have behind me because it can only push me on.
I'm now looking forward to the Dagenham match. They are always a difficult side to play against. They are direct and full of running, but we have in ourselves the belief that we can match anyone in this league and we proved that last week against Huddersfield."
