Harry Arter finally made his competitive home debut against Torquay, and despite the disappointment of losing on penalties, was pleased with how the evening went for him, and the experience has certainly given him the taste for more.
Harry told www.afcb.co.uk after the game, "I was pleased with the way I played. I came in to a team that are doing well and I had to carry on that form and I was pleased that I could give a good account of myself, but in the end, we were unlucky to lose the game. Penalty shoot out's are a lottery and we never deserved to lose. If the game went to extra time, I feel that we would have been stronger and would have nicked it.
We should have won in normal time though. Fair play to Torquay though because you can see why they don't concede many goals. It takes a lot of work to get that team shape and they frustrated us, particularly in the first half. We tried to break them down, but they were resilient and you could see what their intentions were from early on.
Ever player wants to play and I have had to be patient for my first home start. I will do what Eddie thinks best and if he feels the need to put me in for League games, I will do my best to take my chance. Not having played as many games as most of the lads, I felt fresh and I feel ready for the next game now. It's a tough one at Huddersfield and I will do whatever the manager wants me to do there. My aim is to get in the team and if I get my chance, I want to cement my place in it, but I'm happy to play any part the manager wants me to play."
