PARTINGTON MISSES OUT ON JPT CLASH

Posted on: Mon 30 Aug 2010

Cherries midfielder was part of manager Eddie Howe's plans for tomorrows Johnstone Paint Trophy First Round match against Torquay United at Dean Court (Kick Off 7.45), but the youngsters hopes of a first appearance of the new season was dashed after he was called up by the Welsh Under 21 squad.

Joe has travelled to Wales to link up with the squad and then has two games against Hungary and Italy, and Cherries manager Eddie Howe admits that Joe would have been in contention, "It is disappointing for Joe to be called up at this stage of the season because he wants to be involved and the Torquay would have been a good one for him to play in, but unfortunately he will be away.  It will be a great experience for him though to be able to represent Wales and I wish him all the best this week."
