CHERRIES 3 MAGPIES 3 MINUTE BY MINUTE

Posted on: Sat 28 Aug 2010

90+6 - Final Score: AFC Bournemouth 3-3 Notts County. It looked as if Bournemouth were about to rack up a third straight win in the league but two goals in stoppage time will leave the crowd shellshocked, especially after leading 3-0 and looking very comfortable. It definitely feels like a defeat at the moment for home side who only have until Tuesday to pick themselves up when they host high flying Torquay United in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

90+5 - GOAL!! AFC BOURNEMOUTH 3-3 NOTTS COUNTY - Kevin Smith snatches a last gasp equaliser for the visitors slotting past Shwan Jalal and the away crowd go wild. A real kick in the teeth for the Cherries who looked in control. The comeback is complete in quite remarkable style.

52 - Free kick into the box falls to Liam Feeney. However the pacy winger leans back and his effort goal well over the bar.

48 - Ball dinked into the back post and it falls to Liam Feeney but his shot is somehow cleared off of the line by Graeme Lee.

46 - Corner swung in by Davies but caught by Jalal. He quickly distributes the ball to Marc Pugh goes on a mazy run before firing just wide. A lively start to this second half.

Bournemouth have a two goal lead after an exciting half of football. The Cherries have defended well for the most part and also been clinical up front with Josh McQuoid appearing to be revelling in his new role playing just behind Michael Symes. Marc Pugh is also looking lively again whilst Marvin Bartley is looking traditionally strong in the middle of the park. The next goal in this match could be very important.

21 - Ball crossed in by Wiggins but Josh McQuoid's header back across the face of goal is not met by a red shirt and the danger is cleared.

17 - Fantastic free kick whipped in by Ben Davies and the Cherries skipper does well to clear the danger.

15 - Liam Feeney goes on a jinking run turning his marker, Ravenhill, on numerous occasions before winning a free kick. Ball in by Pugh is poor and easily clared.

6 - Free kick to Bournemouth 25 yards from goal. No Brett Pitman any more so it is struck towards goal by Marc Pugh whose effort clips the top of the crossbar. The winger is seeking his third goal in as many matches today.

3 - GOAL!! AFC BOURNEMOUTH 1-0 NOTTS COUNTY - Ball launched into the area and flicked on by Michael Symes. Josh McQuoid pokes out a leg to divert it past Stuart Nelson in the County goal.

1 - Ball in by Davies is headed over by Mike Edwards.

0 - Notts County kick off attacking the Steve Fletcher Stand.

Dean Court life without Brett Pitman begins today as the Cherries host Notts County. New signing Lyle Taylor takes his place on the bench as Bournemouth name the same side which won comprehensively at Tranmere last week. For the visitors, Lee Hughes hasn't recovered in time to face the club which he scored two goals against when the sides last met in March of this year. Pitman and Goulding bagged for the Cherries on that occasion so the hosts will have to find goals from somewhere else if they are aiming for a third successive victory as both have now of course left the club. If he can make it off of the bench today, Danny Hollands will be hoping to repeat the two goals he scored when Bournemouth beat Notts County in their last clash at Dean Court. Here are the lineups:

AFC Bournemouth: Jalal; Purches, Cooper, J. Pearce (c), Wiggins; Feeney, Robinson, Bartley, Pugh; McQuoid, Symes

Subs: Garry, Cummings, Bradbury, Hollands, Arter, Taylor, Stockley

Manager: Eddie Howe

Notts County: Nelson; Lee, Edwards, Thompson (c), Harley; Bishop, Spicer, Ravenhill, Davies; Burgess, Westcarr

Subs: Grof, K. Pearce, Chilvers, Hunt, Smith, Hawley, Jervis

Manager: Craig Short

Referee: Mr McDermid
