SHWAN JALAL - NO FEAR

Posted on: Mon 09 Aug 2010

Cherries keeper Shwan Jalal is looking to put Saturday's disappointment behind him as the side travel to Southampton tomorrow night. It's a simply massive game with great expectations from the 4,000 supporters making the trip and Shwan believes that the side can learn from the Charlton game as they look to get in to the second d round.

The keeper told www.afcb.co.uk, "On Saturday, Charlton came at us for the first 20 minutes, but I felt we dealt with that well. Unfortunately they got a break and we didn't get any clear cut chances. I thought we should have had a penalty, but it's just one of those things and we can take heart from how we played in the second half. The game was an eye opener and it shows the players that we have nothing to fear in this league and we just have to take each game as it comes. A the manager said, we have to take the fact that we will lose some games in this league, but the important thing is to take defeats in the right manner and look to improve in the next game.

Next it's Southampton and games don't come bigger than this. We all know what this game means to the supporters and I must say how fantastic they were on Saturday. It was amazing to run out and see so many and it's credit to everyone who made the trip. To run out at the Valley and see so many behind the goal was such a big lift to all of us.

We have even more going on Tuesday, but I don't feel that will put any extra pressure on us. We have to go there to look to win the game for them and it's just going to be fantastic to go to St Marys and see 4,000 of our supporters there. Southampton are a great side and they are going to be up there come the end of the season, but football is a funny game and anybody can beat anybody and we don't fear anyone. There is no chance that any fear will creep in to our game and it's a game we can't wait for."
